How to use the Memo Sticky Notes app on Windows 10, Android and iPhone

Whenever there is a need to quickly write down a phone number, a note or anything to remember, the ancient habit was to open a new text document with the notepad and write on it.
With Windows 10, however, there is a significantly more efficient solution, that of the Sticky Notes app, which is integrated into the system and allows you to write notes, memos and post-its on the desktop .
Sticky Notes is, probably, one of the most handy and convenient features of Windows 10, especially because we can open it with a click or a text shortcut and we can also synchronize the notes so that they can also be found on the Android smartphone or iPhone .
Sticky Notes is a light app that allows you to group all your reminders and important information under one roof, moreover, after the recent update of Windows 10, it has increased its functions becoming more than just an accessory application.
1) Open Sticky Notes on Windows 10
First of all, to open Sticky Notes in Windows 10 and add Memo (as Windows calls them) or Post-It on the desktop you can search for the name in the Start menu.
Press on it with the right button to add it to the Start menu and to the taskbar in order to have quicker access.
If you want to create a new shortcut on the desktop and a combination of keys to quickly recall them, you can do it this way:
Right-click on the Windows 10 Start button, go to Run and run the command:
explorer shell: AppsFolder
From the list of Apps, find Sticky Notes, press the right mouse button to create a shortcut on the desktop.
On the desktop, right-click on Sticky Notes, then go to the properties, press the Shortcut Keys box, press the CTRL key and then one of your choice such as S.
In the end the combination will be CTRL - ALT - S
Sticky Notes can also be opened by pressing the Windows Ink key on the taskbar.
To display this button, right-click on the application bar and select Show Windows Ink Area button .

2) How to use Sticky Notes
Sticky Notes Memos can be written by choosing text formatting and color.
To color a note, touch the three-dot menu and select the color.
You can also create a new note by pressing the CTRL - N keys together
When you open an already written memo, you can open the list of notes by pressing the button with three dots or using the CTRL - H keys.
The note search bar allows you to find memos by keywords, very conveniently.
In the list of Memos, the main interface of Sticky Notes, you can press the gear key to enter the settings and choose whether to use the dark theme or the most visible light theme.
Here you can also activate the detailed information option, in order to click on links to websites or email addresses in order to open links quickly.
With this option you can also click to call phone numbers written in the notes, using Skype.
Always in the settings, it is better to ask for confirmation in case of deleting a note, so as not to delete the Sticky Notes Memo by mistake.
3) Log in with your account to sync your notes
Accessing a Sticky Notes with a Microsoft account allows you to synchronize notes online and find them on any other used PC and also on your smartphone.
From the Sticky Notes settings, you can log in to the Microsoft account used in Windows 10 and have your notes synchronized.
From another Windows 10 PC, you can access Sticky Notes with the same account to find all the memos pinned.
4) Synchronize your notes with your Android smartphone
One of the most recent features of Sticky Notes is its synchronization capability seen above, also including Android smartphones.
To find the notes written on the PC on Android smartphones it is necessary to use the Onenote app and, for the moment, participate in the Beta version.
To participate in the beta program, open the OneNote app in the phone's Play Store and in the app tab, scroll down to the end and click on "Join" under the banner Join the beta .
After about 15-20 minutes, proceed with updating the application.
Once done, you will see the Sticky Notes tab in OneNote where you can read the memos and add new ones that will be synchronized and visible even on the PC.
If you don't want to use OneNote, you can also find StickyNotes notes using the Microsoft Launcher .
From the Microsoft Launcher, swipe right on the screen to find the special page that also includes Sticky Notes.

Thanks to synchronization, Windows 10 Post-it notes can also be read on the Internet, on the website //www.onenote.com/stickynotes.
This way you can manage your notes and add new ones at any time, even when you are away from your PC or when working from another computer.
You can also add notes from the web that are synchronized with other devices.
6) Create reminders
If you want to create notes as a reminder, write the date and time in the Memo created in Sticky Notes and, automatically, the possibility of creating a reminder will appear on Cortana.
If it is missing, remember to activate the Windows 10 Cortana voice assistant.
7) Restore notes deleted by mistake
If you erase a Sticky Note by mistake, you can recover it using Microsoft Outlook.
Open the Outlook site, go to the recently deleted items in the left pane to find the old notes.
