How to use Apple Music on iPhone, Android iPad and iTunes

Apple has launched the long-awaited streaming music service, Apple Music, for the happiness of the youngest and fans of pop music.
Apple Music starts with a database of millions of songs that can be streamed from PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad, without limitations.
Streaming music, as mentioned several times, is the future because it provides us with all existing (commercial) music, without the need to keep it in memory on our computers, without the need for synchronization and updates of the new songs released.
Apple Music is therefore a worthy rival to Spotify if it were not that, compared to Spotify, it does not exist in a free version .
In this blog, where we always and only talk about free things, I shouldn't even mention it, but for the record and to give clarifications on how to use Apple Music to those who waited for it, I am forced to make an exception, also because on the page of official presentation you understand very little.
Apple Music is a new service included in iOS on iPhone and iPad and also as an app for Android.
To get Apple Music on Mac, launch the App Store and go to the Updates tab.
To have Apple Music on Windows PC open iTunes and update it to version 12.2 (or download and reinstall it from the Apple website).
On Android smartphones you can download the Apple Music app from the Google Play Store .
Before leaving excited to use Apple Music, it is good to be on guard about its costs .
This from Apple is in fact absolutely not a free service, but you can try it for free for 3 months .
Too bad that by starting Apple Music for the free trial it is necessary to subscribe the subscription which will be automatically renewed upon expiry.
It will therefore be up to us to cancel the subscription before seeing money in our credit card (the one registered in the Apple Store).
At the start, you will have to choose immediately whether to make a family or individual subscription.
The family pass is 15 Euros per month while the individual one is 10 Euros.
The family pass is for the family, where there is a father or mother who holds the credit card and controls the costs.
This is to say that you can't really use it with friends to pay less.
To use Apple Music on iOS, open the new iPhone and iPad Music app and start with the three-month trial for Apple Music.
Right away, it's worth going to the Apple Music app settings and canceling the automatic subscription renewal .
The app extracts data from the songs purchased on iTunes to understand which music we like best, asking to express appreciation on some artists and genres.
Based on the choices will be suggested playlists and albums to listen, as with Spotify, in streaming.
From the New tab you can find a news page on the latest releases, statistics, rankings and other curiosities.
The Radio tab allows you to listen to some radio stations with an improved service compared to the old iTunes Radio.
To use Apple Music on Windows PC, as mentioned above, iTunes updated to version 12.2 is required.
On iTunes, go to the App Store, in the App section, to find the access banner for Apple Music or go to " Per Te ".
With iTunes, the streaming music service will be available from the computer, as is also the case for the Spotify program for PC.
We come now to the judgments.
I personally believe that the comparison between Spotify and Apple Music is won by the former due to the evident inferiority of the latter.
Spotify, even if it has its premium subscription plan, can be used for free to listen to streaming music on the PC with a program, can be used without installing anything as a music Web Player with automatic playlists, it can be used, always for free, with the Spotify Android smartphone and iPhone app and can also replace iTunes to listen and sync mp3s.
Certainly the comparison becomes balanced if we talk about paid services, where Spotify and Apple Music are equivalent, even in prices, even if that of Apple is less open and less expandable (see in fact Guide and tricks for Spotify, the most complete app to listen to music).
Apple Music has a too limited and discouraging trial version and lacks the ability to share what you are listening to with friends on Facebook.
Those who already use Spotify have no real reason to switch to Apple Music, all the more because playlists cannot be transferred.
