How to pay with Amazon Pay

Amazon has launched its Amazon Pay service in Italy, which allows you to buy online through your Amazon account also on external sites.
In practice, Amazon Pay is an online payment solution similar to PayPal that allows you to pay on each site where the relevant button appears, without having to register a new account for that specific site and without having to spread the credit card number on sites unknown.
This type of payments is also an excellent way to be guaranteed, not to risk scams, because by paying through the Amazon account, as is also the case with PayPal, there is a real recognition of the shop that must have registered in order to enter the circuit of payments.
Beyond the price differences, it is obvious that being able to pay with Amazon Pay becomes advantageous for everyone, because we all now have an Amazon account (while not everyone has Paypal).
To pay with Amazon Pay you need to activate the service in your Amazon account.
This type of activation can be found in the internal links on the account management page or by going directly to the Amazon Pay presentation page.
Press the " for buyers " button and continue the wizard by logging in with your Amazon account.
You might notice that the Amazon Pay login page points to Amazon.de (at least for now), which is not an error or a problem at all.
In practice Amazon.de incorporates the management of Euro Payments of Amazon Pay also for Italians (on the Amazon Pay page you can put the Italian language).
Then use the login to access Amazon and enter the Account Activities page which will be populated with purchases made using Amazon Pay.
At this point, every time you find the Amazon Pay button on any shopping site that is not Amazon, you can pay from your PC or smartphone using your Amazon account and, therefore, your credit card (or even vouchers gift or other payment methods) associated with that account.
The credit card can also be a prepaid debit card such as PostePay or even the Paypal card (but not with a PayPal account).
The big advantage is that in that site you will not have to provide any credit card, you do not have to say where to ship (even the shipping address provided to Amazon is shared on the store where you buy) and there will be no risk of scam since every purchase is guaranteed by Amazon.
In case of problems with a payment made through Amazon Pay you can ask for refunds, disputes, complaints and returns as if you were buying on Amazon.
All the warranty details are on this help page.
Amazon Pay is, of course, free for buyers and has no commissions.
For sellers the question of commissions is different.
Online stores that want to receive payments in this mode must always pay 35 cents for each sale, plus 3.4% of the price received (for a price less than 2500 Euros, then the commission is lower).
On this page there is the detail of all the commissions for Amazon Pay.
For the moment there is no list of Italian online stores that already accept payments with Amazon Pay, but it is to be bet that there will be many already within a few months because, beyond the commissions, accepting payments with Amazon Pay is also convenient to them.
To get started, you can refer to the UK stores page.
