How to surf the internet privately

All web browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Edge and Opera) include browsing in private mode which is used to navigate without leaving traces and without the sites visited being stored in the history .
What is important to know is that the private or " incognito " mode, in spite of the name, does not hide the user's identity from the sites, but simply prevents the browser from saving cookies and downloaded files to display images and text for
The discourse on how to surf anonymously, in fact, is completely different than that of surfing in private, because it requires programs such as VPNs, special browsers such as TOR or Proxy through which to pass the connection so that the true IP of the computer used and capable of encrypting communications.
The private mode is useful, however, when you want to open sites without leaving traces in history or to open Facebook, YouTube and Google with a different account than the one normally used.
For example, it is also useful to open an incognito tab on Chrome when a guest asks to use the computer, so that the login to the sites he accesses is not stored and not to show him our preferences on the websites.
