How to align on Word

If we are a beginner with a PC and with a digitally written document, you may find it difficult to correctly align the texts when we open Word for the creation of our documents.
Not that this operation is difficult: simply many expect "everyone can do everything" hoping that the necessary practice to use Word has already been done.
In this guide we will show you in a few simple steps how to align the text on Word, so that you can better divide the various paragraphs of the document and give that touch of professionalism to all the documents generated.
For the guide we will show you both how to correctly align the text on Word (the most used program), and how to align the text on Writer, its completely free counterpart.

1) How to align on Word
To align the text on Word, first open the document you want to edit (just double-click on it or open Word and click Open Documents file ) and, once identified the text to be aligned, select it all by doing three times click with the mouse on the beginning of the paragraph (Word should select it all automatically); alternatively we can select the text by holding down the CTRL + Shift keys on the keyboard and using the Left and Right directional keys on the keyboard to add portions of text to be aligned.
Once you have selected the text to align, you can align the text using the alignment buttons on the Home screen, indicated by four buttons with horizontal lines.

We find, on the left to the right, the Align left button (the black lines moved to the left) useful for aligning the highlighted text on the left, then we find the Align center button (the black centered lines) excellent for centering the highlighted text, in then we find the Align right button (the black lines moved to the right) to align the highlighted text to the right and finally we find the Justify button (the black lines all of the same length) useful to justify the text, that is to fill each line without any type of alignment (useful on some works or to create texts for websites).
In addition to using the buttons that I showed you in the top bar of Word, we can also use keyboard shortcuts to align the text on the fly, so as not to look away while writing and act faster.
To align on Word we select the text as seen previously and press the Ctrl + T keys on the keyboard to align the text on the left, the Ctrl + R keys to align the text on the right, the Ctrl + E keys to get aligned to the center and finally press the Ctrl + F keys to justify the selected text.
If we are using Word on a Mac, the shortcuts to align the text are slightly different: cmd + e to center the paragraph, cmd + j to justify it, cmd + l to align it on the left and finally cmd + r to align it to the right.
We have some text inserted inside a table and we want to align it ">
We can choose the same alignments already seen for plain text on Word, so we can align the text as we see fit.
If instead of the table the text is present next to or near an image, we can proceed with the alignment of the placed text by selecting it all and clicking on the Image Tools -> Format menu and selecting the type of alignment from the menu that we can recall by clicking on the Location button.
The alignments are identical to those already seen for the simple text and for the text in a table, just click on the right button to get the right alignment.
2) How to align on Word for Android and iOS
Do we have a document to align on the fly when we are away from home and we don't have a PC available?
In this case we can use the Word app downloadable for free on Android and iOS from here -> Word (Android) and Word (iOS).
Once the app is installed, we log in with a Microsoft account in our possession, then open the document to be edited (from the internal memory of the device or saved on the OneDrive cloud).
As soon as the document is open, select the text to align by clicking on the screen and dragging your finger until the text is selected, then click on the Home menu at the bottom, scroll through the options until you find the keys to the alignment of the text.

We use the keys exactly as seen in the rest of the guide, choosing the best alignment for the text.
3) How to align on LibreOffice Writer
A good alternative to Microsoft Office free and without time limits (we don't have to buy or crack anything) is LibreOffice, which we can download for free from here -> LibreOffice.
Once the suite is downloaded, open the Writer program (the Word correspondent), open the document to be modified or create a new one using the tools offered by the program; arrived at the point where we have to align the text, select it all as already seen on Word (triple click on the beginning of the paragraph or the Ctrl + Shift keys and the directional keys), then we use the keys present at the top right to choose the right alignment .

The keys are identical to those seen on Word and allow you to align left, center, right and use the justified as an alignment form.
