Gmail is the most powerful and feature-rich email service that you can find and it is natural that it is also the most used in the world. However, some people may have registered a Gmail email address in the past that they would like to change today.
For example, we may have registered an address like " " which is not serious and unprofessional and which would be better to change to Change Gmail address
Or we may want to have an email address with a personalized domain, such as , by deleting the @gmail and putting the name of your company or anything else in its place.
Changing a Gmail address, once registered, is impossible and you will need to create a new account from scratch with a new address which can be Gmail or any other mail service.
The new address will become usable for sending and receiving mail from Gmail.
Even by changing your address, be it Gmail or Yahoo or Libero, you can still continue to use your Gmail account to receive mail from both the new and the previous address and avoid the effort of communicating the change to your friends.
The trick is to set up Gmail on the old account, so you can replace it with a new one to send and receive mail .
To do this, after creating a new email address (remember it can be @gmail or anything else), open Gmail with the account you want to change and enter the settings by clicking on the button at the top right with a gear shape .
From here, go to Accounts and Import and add, under the " Send message as " section, the new address created and that you want to use in Gmail.
For the new account that is added, you are asked to enter the Name and password to access the mailbox, on the SMTP server that is the sending one.
If the default settings do not work, check in the help of the mail service used with which the correct SMTP server address and port were created.
The new address can then be set as default in the settings screen and you can also select the option to use that address every time you reply to a message, even received on the old one.
At this point, as already explained in the guide to send Mail from Gmail with another email address, when writing a new message, Gmail will use the new address.
To send with the old one, press on the "From:" field and select the other address from the drop-down menu.
Instead, return to the Account and import options to be able to receive the mail received on the new address in Gmail (on the old Gmail account).
The option to use now is " Add your POP3 mail account " where you must specify the POP3 server address of the new address which if it is still Gmail is taken automatically while for other services it may be necessary to find it on Google.
Once the wizard is complete, all messages received on the new address will be delivered to our old Gmail account which will continue to receive mail from the previous address.

The old Gmail address will remain the one to be used when logging in, as the username in the login.
