Hyperlapse app (from instagram) to create "Time-Lapse" accelerated videos

After Google's spherical photos, Instagram today launched a new smartphone application called Hyperlapse that allows you to create a time-lapse video in a simple and semi-automatic way.
Time-Lapse is an accelerated video to see how a scene changes over a long period of time and is used a lot in documentaries, where, for example, you can see the evolution and growth of a plant or an insect.
Hyperlapse was developed by Instagram to make the creation of time-lapse videos easier than ever using the smartphone: record the video, select the playback speed, save and share, all without having to make configurations or changes.

HyperLapse is, for now, a free iPhone -only app that can be downloaded from the iTunes store .
The application launches with the camera and you can start recording with a single touch on the screen.
With a second tap the recording stops.
During the recording you will see two timers: the first is the real time of the video while the second is the time of the video after it is accelerated.
The default acceleration is a 6x playback rate that can go up to 12x.
Swipe right on a recorded video to see a preview of what the result would look like before stabilization.
The stabilization function is automatic and is used to stop the image taken which, holding the smartphone in hand, could be shaky or full of jolts.
Time-lapse videos would require keeping the camera in a fixed position throughout the recording, which is obviously difficult to do with an iPhone.
The playback speed can be set to 1x, 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x or 12x and determines how quickly the original video is accelerated.
If you record a 30 second video and select a 6x speed, the resulting video will be five seconds long.
When choosing a playback speed, consider the length of the original video: the longer the video, the faster the playback speed can be accelerated.
Also keep in mind that Instagram does not allow you to share videos longer than 15 seconds (although it is possible to cut videos created with Hyperlapse within Instagram).
After recording, after selecting the speed, you can save the video by touching the green check mark.
Once saved, you can share the video on Facebook or Instagram.
To save a video, tap the red "x" in the top left corner of the app and select "edit later".
