Cancel messages and SMS already sent before they are received

Technology can make life comfortable, but it opens the way for mistakes.
Generally speaking, with a mobile phone or computer, you can accidentally press the Enter key before a message is correctly written or you can send it to the wrong people and therefore cause a serious "diplomatic" problem.
Small errors can have disastrous effects depending on the case, but it is possible to implement a safety net to try to avoid similar technological faults.
Most of the mistakes can certainly be avoided with a little attention, but since even the best of us can make mistakes, it is worthwhile, in certain cases and where possible, to take precautions and correct these types of embarrassments .
1) SMS
To cancel an SMS sent and make sure that it does not reach the recipient if you are wrong, you can use special applications available only on Android .
For Android it is possible to use the much more solid GO-SMS app which has, among many options, also that of canceling the accidental sending of a message.
On the iPhone there are no applications of this type, the only way to get the sending delay and the ability to cancel a message avoiding that it is sent.
The only way is to Jailbreak the iPhone and use the SMS Delay and confirmSMS tweaks (to look for in the Cydia store).
If you have no intention of using particular apps to avoid accidentally sending an SMS, there is a little trick that, within one or two seconds maximum, allows you to cancel the wrong sending .
If you send a message and immediately realize that you have made a mistake, you must quickly activate airplane mode to block all connections and prevent the message from reaching your destination.
This can be done quickly in the latest versions of iOS and Android from the notification and control center, with the fast airplane mode button.
This trick should also work to cancel Whatsapp messages, Facebook or any other app .
Obviously you will have to delete it before going back online and take off Airplane mode.
2) Email
Emails can prove more difficult to cancel in many situations, especially in the case of webmail, the message disappears on the first delivery attempt and there is really nothing you can do to prevent it from reaching its destination.
For emails we have already seen how it is possible to cancel sending emails with Outlook and Gmail
Gmail is the only web mail that gives 30 seconds of time to stop sending an email, canceling it.
3) Cancel the sending of messages on Facebook
People make many mistakes on social networks and often create disagreements and quarrels because of the impulse to send messages that you regret immediately after or for writing errors.
In addition, Facebook is dangerous because if you do not set the privacy options well, you risk spreading private news by making them publicly visible to everyone.
To prevent an inconvenient or embarrassing or wrong message from being publicly disseminated, Facebook should be kept private in the privacy options.
In particular, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner in Faceboko, go to the Privacy settings and under " Who can see my things? ", Set "Only me".
Now you can write and publish anything on Facebook, so much will not be visible to anyone but us.
When a status update is made public, you can change the visibility of that by clicking on the padlock icon that you see under the name.
You practically set up a confirmation option to prevent us from accidentally sharing something that we don't want everyone to see.
From 2019 it is possible to delete messages sent on the Facebook Messenger chat, within 10 minutes of sending.
4) Twitter allows you to delete a message at any time and make it no longer visible, and the same applies to direct messages.
Of course, you will not be able to delete them from the memory of those who have already seen them, but if you are fast there is a good chance that nobody has noticed.
5) Whatsapp
As explained in another article, you can delete messages sent by mistake in Whatsapp, within 68 minutes of sending.
6) Instagram Direct
Messages sent via Instagram chat can always be removed and canceled, just touch and hold the message in the conversation to delete it both for us and for the recipient.
