Login on Windows 10 without password

In the first configuration of Windows 10 you need to create an account that should be the Microsoft account (but you can also create a simple local account) in order to protect access to the PC.
This protection with login and password must always be set, even if you work alone at home or if we are sure that your PC is safe from outsiders, not only to avoid access to the curious, but also to have a barrier against any intrusion from the network which, although unlikely if you are connected to the internet via a router, are always possible.
Creating multiple accounts on the PC is also useful so as not to mix programs and personal files with those of other people who use the same computer.
In case, however, we are sure to be the only ones to use our computer, it is possible to make sure that the access to Windows is automatic, so that you don't have to enter the password or access PIN every time .
If the PC is always at home, it is used only by us and there is no fear that someone will get their hands to spy on our things, after setting the password you can activate automatic access to Windows 10 (or even Windows 7 and 8).
In this way, after turning on the PC, the initial upload will immediately bring the user to the desktop, without having to enter a password .

First of all, it is important to point out that in Windows 10 you can use different ways to access the PC, not necessarily the password.
From Windows 10 Settings, go to the Account section to find the access options .
You can therefore activate one of the quick methods to access the PC without a password which are:
- Windows Hello, with fingerprint or face recognition, which only works on compatible laptops and tablets.
- The PIN, which is similar to the password but faster to enter since it is made up of numbers only.
- The graphic Password, similar to the protection sequence of Android smartphones, to be used only on touchscreen screens.
- Dynamic Lock, which automatically locks your computer if a paired Bluetooth device is not detected nearby.
The only requirement is to have a PC with Bluetooth receiver, which is always included in laptops and can be added by buying a Bluetooh adapter for PCs of 10 or 15 Euros.
By associating, for example, the smartphone with the PC, Windows 10 will be able to recognize the user by the simple Bluetooth connection and therefore automatically lock the computer every time we go to the bathroom or leave for other reasons.
Unfortunately this function is not able to unlock the PC automatically when we return close to the PC.
To be able to access Windows 10 without a password, you must instead use a somewhat hidden option that is not found in the settings.
To find it you need to open the User account management page, the fastest way is by pressing the Windows R keys together in order to open the box that Runs the commands, then type the netplwiz command and press Enter .
The window that appears lists the users registered on the PC.
Select your user account and uncheck the box at the top where it says " to use this computer, the user must enter the name and password ".
Save by clicking on Apply and restart the PC.
Access to Windows will therefore be automatic and you will no longer need to write your password on startup.
However, removing the password when Windows starts has some contraindications.
First of all, it makes the computer less secure which is no longer protected from access, but this if we are sure to use it only us can be a negligible problem.
The second contraindication is that the login screen can be useful for recovering the computer in case of problems loading Windows 10.
If, in fact, there was a Windows startup error and if this error occurred after logging in, you can press the restart key at the bottom right while holding down the Shift key on the keyboard, to be able to restart the computer with repair tools.
Then skipping the login screen, you will lose this possibility (even if there are other ways to repair Windows 10).
In another article, the automatic login issue was further explored by explaining how to remove the password when Windows starts .
