10 typical mistakes on Android that beginners make

Android is the most widespread platform in the world on mobile phones so it is used by people of all kinds, from the fixated looking for all the tricks and ways to make changes to the system in a maniacal and often also useless way, to those who use the smartphone as if it were a mobile phone 10 years ago, without personalizing it by a comma.
In this article, I turn to these people to list 10 of the most classic mistakes that beginners make when using an Android smartphone .
Some errors are just from technology beginners, others are caused by having to change habits compared to other platforms such as iOS of the iPhone, still others are of pure laziness, which can also cause problems such as data loss.

1) Expect to be able to act as you would an iPhone
Many users who migrate from the iOS platform expect Android to behave the same way.
While not much changes in the basic functions, overall Android and iOS have little in common.
I refer to another article for the differences between Android and iPhone (iOS) .
2) Thinking that a cheap Android smartphone (especially Samsung ones) will be enough
This is one of the most beginner's mistakes, to buy a 100 Euro Android smartphone and think it can work like an iPhone.
Meanwhile, that smartphone probably has an old Android version and then it will have at least two other problems: little RAM and little space for applications.
These phones are therefore born slow and limited.
3) Do not protect access to the smartphone
A smartphone is to be treated like a computer and contains a lot of sensitive data, including login data in web accounts.
It is therefore necessary to protect the Android smartphone with a password or with that sequence mode which is a little less secure, but very convenient.

4) Use the POP settings on the Mail
One of the most frequent questions asked by beginner Android users is: "Why do emails disappear from the PC when I open them from my mobile phone and vice versa"> Why do you set up the POP account on the email client and the option of keep messages on the server.
It is advisable to avoid setting up your e-mail account as a POP account and using IMAP.

5) Exaggerate with widgets
I've seen Android home screens so dense with launchers and widgets that you really didn't understand.
In reality the widgets are a beautiful thing of Android, only that you don't have to overdo it otherwise they will consume all the battery in a short time.
Widgets must be chosen carefully and, in another article, we made the updated list of the best Android widgets.
6) Neglect Gmail
Android and Gmail are like cream with chocolate, they work perfectly together.
If you use an Android device and do not have a Gmail account, you must necessarily create one if you do not want to lose all the best smartphone functions: Google Play Store, backup, address book and photo synchronization, and many other apps provided free by Google .
Using a Gmail and Google account on Android is absolutely beneficial.
7) Always keep Bluetooth on
If you are not using Bluetooth, it must be turned off, otherwise it will consume battery unnecessarily.
Turn off Bluetooth from Settings, as well as Wifi when not in use.
8) Don't make updates
Android apps update themselves every day.
Among the apps that are updated there are also those of the system so you should not absolutely prevent it if you always want to have the latest functions and to have a secure mobile phone.
9) Install a thousand applications
The Google Play Store, compared to the Microsoft and Apple stores, is much more permissive so there are applications of all types that can be downloaded and installed for free.
The garbage, however, is a lot and you don't have to install anything, also because you never know what applications you take.
So always look at the specialized blogs and the rankings of the Play Store to find out the best apps and uninstall the ones you don't use.

10) Fear the Android power
One of the biggest differences between Android and iOS is the greater degree of flexibility and control.
With Android, there are many more customization options, switches and notifications.
You should not be intimidated by the greater power of the Android system which may be less simple than iOS only at the beginning, until you find out how many things you can do in a clearly easier and more intelligent way.
