10 Twitter bots to follow and create to do retweets and automatic replies

It took a few years but in the end we Italians also understood how to use Twitter.
Information travels at the speed of light, news, both important and superfluous, bounces around the world and it is almost impossible, being connected on Twitter, to miss any event, like an ANSA super agency.
Twitter is almost a worldwide chat, people discuss and exchange messages that can be read by everyone and, therefore, even without having friends, you can still have fun and get passionate.

In Twitter it is also possible to follow (and create) the Bots, i.e. automatic responders that are activated if called into question or even only when a certain word is written.
The Bot is a non-human account, which writes programmed things, responds or simply automatically retweets .
Some examples of Twitter Bot accounts that can be followed and used are:
1) The best Bot on Twitter is Spotibot : write a message @spotibot similar to Vasco Rossi and you get, in response, the title of a song similar to those of Vasco Rossi with the link to listen to them in Spotify
2) Dear Assistant is a bot in English that answers questions on Twitter, very advanced.
3) Beetle Juice is a stupid but also curious bot, divernte and easy to recreate if you want.
In practice, for each tweet where the word Beetlejuice is written three times, he replies: It's ShowTime (BeetleJuice is the character of a famous Tim Burton film).
4) Joe McCarty's Robot is an ingenious American bot that responds with a sentence every time someone talks about communism or socialism on Twitter.
To try it just send any tweet putting the word socialism or communism .
For the record, Joseph McCarthy was an American politician who accused anyone of being a communist.
Since this character could remember some of our days, it would be nice to redo this bot in Italian (the idea is launched).
5) Mr Spock is a really simple bot that can really be done with different words.
Whenever someone says the word enterprise in a tweet, Spock automatically retweets the comment " fascinating! ".
6) For fans of the movie "The Gladiator", you can get a tweet from King Leonidas saying " THIS IS SPARTA " every time someone tweets the word Madness .
7) Stealth Montain is a Twitter Bot in English which is not very interesting in itself, but which provides the starting point for an idea.
In fact, the bot automatically responds to those who misspell the word sneak peek and instead write sneak peak which is wrong.
8) There is also Blade Runner who responds to tweets with the word Replicant inside.
9) A rather evolved and curious Bot is that of Liveson which allows you to activate automatic tweets in order to continue tweeting even after death.
10) Nappa, a DragonBall character, answers " WHAT"> 9000 (refers to Goku's combat level).
11) Fart Bot is instead intervenes with a retweet every time someone writes a tweet cusing the word fart and says: FART ROBOT APPROVES (who does not know what fart means should look for it in the dictionary).
12) These are some stupid bots but there are also some useful ones like Remember The Milk to get reminders using direct and private messages on Twitter.
13) TayTweets is the most intelligent Microsoft bot, able to answer many questions in English in an articulate way, behaving like a real human being.
How do you create a bot on Twitter?
The easiest way to create a bot that does an automatic retweet every time someone writes a specific word is through the Yahoo Pipes online service (it no longer exists).
If you cannot create one from scratch, you can simply use a pre-set model where you just have to enter the word for activation and your own name to be excluded (otherwise you create an infinite loop).
Be careful not to create Spam and use a new and separate account from your own (if the Bot becomes annoying that account could be banned).
To create more complicated Twitter Bots you can search for other online guides including one on the labnol.org website that explains how to create a twitter bot using the Wolfram Alpha web application.
If you create or know other nice or useful bots for Twitter, leave a comment.
