In Windows 10 the Groove Music app instead of WMP

The default Windows program for listening to music has always been Windows Media Player, excellent until a few years ago, never updated, not even with the release of Windows 10.
Windows Media Player is still installed and it works as usual, even if it makes you feel its seniority and, of course, you cannot consider the best to play and organize MP3.
Microsoft, in Windows 10, has added a new application called Groove Music which can be found in the Start menu.
The application allows you to view the music collection by pressing the buttons in the left menu (by pressing the three lines at the top), ordering it according to the album, the artist, and the song and allows you to search in a few seconds.
When playing a song, the controls appear along the bottom edge with the album cover, the song, the artist at the top.
From the left menu you can access the Microsoft Store to buy music, just like you would do with iTunes.
Always from the same side menu you can add new playlists to add songs according to your preferences.
The settings button is the gear button on the bottom left.
In Groove settings you can choose whether to download purchases made on other devices.
Here you can also choose to use the dark theme, to automatically download covers and song information and to set the automatic download of the purchased songs on the computer.
Groove Music Pass is a subscription to listen to streaming music without advertising from the computer and also from Android and iOS.
This is the same XBox Music I talked about some time ago, even though it changed its name to Groove.
In the settings you can import the music saved on your computer by clicking on the link " choose the search path ".
If you are using Tunes, the path to import into Groove is PC \ Music \ iTunes \ iTunes Media \ Music
Using the reset button, the set playlists and also all the imported songs are reset.
As you can see, the Groove Music app for Windows 10 is very simple and limited.
It does not support, for example, alternative music formats such as .flac and .ogg files, and there are no options to better set the sound, such as the equalizer.
The merits of Groove are small things like the music control buttons when the app is minimized and you place the cursor over its icon in the taskbar and like the graphics of the current playback.
The app is good for occasional listening of music and for those who want a simple and immediate program to listen to their favorite songs.
Without a doubt, however, in Windows 10, music collectors on the PC dissatisfied with the new Groove Music and the old Windows Media Player, will find greater satisfaction with a different program such as AIMP or MediaMonkey, listed among the best programs to hear music on the PC .
