Check if the PC is compatible with Windows 7 and hardware and software system requirements

Sales of Windows 7 are booming for Microsoft but those who want to install it must first check the hardware and software requirements of their computer to verify that everything is compatible and functioning properly.
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor is the tool that checks if the new Windows can run well on the computer .
Now it finally works well, both on Windows XP and Windows Vista and checks the computer system to find out if it is compatible with the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system .
After installing it, it scans your computer for hardware and software and reports any compatibility issues.
It also offers a guide, in Italian, which explains how to overcome these problems in making the system compatible with Windows 7.
The scan takes less than a minute and does not block the PC that continues to work normally.
The results of the check are displayed in two tabs, one for installing the 32-bit version and the other for the 64-bit version of Windows 7.
Each verification report is divided into three sections: a general system, one relating to hardware devices and the last one for programs and software.
The System Advisor analyzes the general issues that the user may encounter.
In this case there are two common incompatibility warnings: Little Ram memory if it is less than 1 Gigabyte and the graphics card that does not support Windows Aero, the complex graphics system for displaying windows.
Who has Windows Vista on the PC, certainly will not have Ram problems, the others instead, if they receive this warning, can remedy by buying 1 GB of Ram at the computer store at a price of about 30 Euros.
As for the graphics card that does not support Aero, it seems more of an error or a false positive because I can not believe that a 256 MB ATI of memory that makes me run very big video games, does not support Aero.
In any case, even if it were true, I would not do anything because at the limit this function can be disabled in the custom installation of Windows 7.
As for the minimum requirements, a problem related to space may arise on older PCs because the installation of Windows 7 requires 16 GB free on hard disk .
The examination of the hardware devices that make up the computer should not detect any absence of requirements while, as regards the programs, you will see warnings related to the incompatibility of some older software, with Win7.
Among them is certainly Outlook Express, a product that Microsoft has stopped developing.
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor can be useful for users who already have a previous version of Windows on the PC but it is useless for those who want to assemble a new computer or for those without Windows.
The reference page for checking the compatibility of every single piece of a computer and every single program is that of the Microsoft compatibility center, where you only have to enter the name of a program or of a hardware part to obtain, in response, if is compatible or not with Windows 7 .
