See Ancient Rome in 3D on Google Earth

The news is one of those that travel around the world in half a day so for many it will not be a novelty: in Rome, Imperial Rome has been rebuilt in 3D.
The amazing fact is the fidelity and precision with which ancient Rome was designed and rebuilt.
It seems to take a journey through time by slipping through the streets of Rome at the time of the emperors and entering buildings such as the Colosseum.
The reconstruction era is around 1, 688 years ago, at the time of the emperor Constantine in 320 AD and a fantastic virtual journey through Google Earth is offered where you can fly over the city and explore the interiors of the famous ancient buildings.
Like so many other places rebuilt by Google Earth, Rome can also be admired with the characteristic Google virtual camera that closely resembles the subjective view of modern video games.
You can look at monuments, streets, palaces of Ancient Rome and, as already mentioned, enter the buildings and view them in their minimum architectural details: the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, the Forum of Caesar the Arch of Septimius Severus, the Rostra tribune to the Basilica Julia, and all the buildings without any exclusion.
Google always does things big and there are 6, 700 buildings in Ancient Rome rebuilt in 3D and viewable through this project.
The experience is truly exceptional, we were amazed to see today's Rome photographed and shown by Google Street View, now we can see the capital Rome of 2000 years ago.

Do not underestimate the impact that a similar tool has on school education, often linked to traditions and far from the Internet world, will not be able now to avoid exploiting the reconstruction of Ancient Rome made by Google.
The archaeological, monumental and artistic heritage of the immortal and indestructible Roman Empire is virtually restored, showing the world the grandeur of one of the most majestic empires that ever existed.
The Italian version offers users additional content, represented by documentary videos taken from the RAI video archive .
The videos will be accessible directly from the Google Earth application within the information windows and with a simple click it will also be possible to access the special YouTube channel, which includes all the videos made available by RAI.
