On PCs without a CD / DVD player, share the recorder over the network

The evolution of personal computers goes very fast and produces ever smaller and slimmer PCs, lacking in some parts which, due to technology, will become superfluous.
The touchscreen tablets are even without keyboard and mouse while, for some time now, there are many notebooks and netbooks that are sold without the CD / DVD reader and burner .
As technology goes faster than habits, the lack of a CD or DVD burner can become a problem for those who need it who may have to buy an external burner.
However, if you have multiple home or office computers connected to the network, you can share the CD / DVD burner-player of a PC on the network and use it from the computer that does not have a player .
To make this sharing easily and quickly you can use a small free program called Net-Burner, which installs a network burner .
The guided interface helps to put on the network the computer drive that has the burner which will be available for use by the other connected PCs.
There is obviously talk of internal network, via cable or wifi, managed by a router that connects the various PCs and allows them to "see each other".
This sharing of the CD / DVD player means mounting a drive on the network making it usable by other computers and is different from sharing Windows folders and printers.
NetBurner is however free and can be downloaded from Softpedia without filling in registration forms.
Net Burner must be installed as a client or as a server.
NetBurner must be installed as a server on the computer that has the CD / DVD player with recorder while the client goes on all PCs without a reader.
Once at least one client and one server is installed (the pc server must remain switched on with NetBurner active), it is possible to access and use the CD player from the client, as if it were a normal drive inside the computer.
Through a wizard you can share the CD / DVD player automatically but, if needed, you can manually enter the IP address and the network port of the PC server.
The virtual network reader and burner is viewed by the client pc as if it were new computer hardware and becomes available both in the explorer of the computer to read the contents of the discs inserted in the reader, and as a burner unit in the software to create and copy new CD or DVD.
Above all, the installation of software from disk (such as the programs supplied with the printer or other peripherals) in a system without CD, DVD or Blu-Ray player is now at hand.
The network drive can be removed on the PC by clicking on the NetBurner system icon near the clock so as to remove the sharing of the optical drive.
Net Burner is compatible with all the latest editions of Windows, on 32-bit and 64-bit computers.
