Spotify is the most popular and perhaps best application for listening to streaming music for free via the web, PC and mobile phones. Speaking of Spotify for PC, the program has recently been improved, becoming a perfect replacement for iTunes, not only for listening to streaming music, but also for organizing personal music collections, mp3 files downloaded or copied to the computer.
With Spotify it is therefore very easy to create playlists of songs, both streaming and locally and, if desired, share them with friends or on your website.
In addition, it is also possible to synchronize music with the iPhone, iPod or any Android smartphone so that you can listen to the same lists of songs on your mobile phone or tablet.
From the Spotify program on Windows, you can scroll the menu down to the left to find the section "My music" which where you will find the mp3 files of the music folder.
On each song, whether searched online or locally, you can right click to add it to an existing or new playlist.
If you want to add an entire album to a playlist, you can click it from the list of songs (in the album column) and click the Save button next to Play.
In the menu on the left, scrolling further down, you will find the created playlists.
By right clicking on the name of a playlist you can share it on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
You can also copy the link or get an html code to paste on your blog or site to make all visitors listen to their favorite music.
The ability to save your favorite songs and selected albums in an easy to navigate collection allows you to create a real music library in Spotify.
The song, album and artist sections are clearly inspired by the structure of iTunes and many other PC media players, so they remain familiar to everyone.
The list structure is very similar to that of iTunes where it is possible to sort the list alphabetically by title, artist and album or by the length of the song.
In the Apps section, you can install apps on Spotify to find new songs, lyrics and info on the artists.
Finally, to replace iTunes completely or almost completely, in the left menu you will find the Devices section, where the iPod connected with the USB cable will appear or the iPhone and the Android mobile phone on which the Spotify app is installed so to synchronize and transfer the songs to the memory of the portable MP3 player .
In Spotify preferences, accessible from the top Edit menu, you can choose which parts of the disc to take local music from, normalize the volume, use fading between the songs played one after the other and the sharing options.
