Solution "PC not started correctly" or "BOOTMGR missing" in Windows 10

Although Windows 10 is a much more stable system than previous Microsoft systems, it can still have problems that, for the most part, are related to compatibility errors with the PC in use.
One type of error that can occur with Windows 10 is that of the blue screen with the words " The PC has not started correctly ".
Usually this is a type of error that occurs after a blackout or after installing updates.
Windows 10 can then fail to load the desktop, try to start an automatic repair procedure and eventually show on the screen the message that the PC did not start correctly.
To find the cause and above all the solution of this problem, there are several ways to try to repair the PC boot and fix it
1) The first thing to do is, of course, to restart the PC by disconnecting each USB drive and possibly removing the disc from the DVD player, to see if the error still occurs.
In most cases there is a problem with the first boot sector of the computer called MBR (Master Boot Record) or also with the Boot Configuration Data (BCD) file which contains the boot configuration data.
On the other hand, there may also be a hardware problem, most likely with the disk where Windows is installed.
2) Windows 10, compared to previous versions, is much better at providing support for users who are not left alone as it is in Windows 7.
If we are talking about the error message that says that the PC has not started correctly, there is a button to open a set of advanced options and use the troubleshooting tools included in the system .
These options are:
- System Restore (must have active restore points in Windows 10)
With this option you try to return the PC to the previous situation, when it still worked.
Most often this type of help does not work unless the problem simply depends on a bad configuration.
- Startup repair is an automatic procedure that tries to solve the problem without any user intervention, in a simple and immediate way.
This tool tries to replace missing or damaged files, including the BOOTMGR file.
Attention only if this procedure is looped, see how to stop the automatic recovery of Windows 10
- Command prompt to execute MBR, BCD or system repair commands .
For example, you can run the SFC / Scannow command to correct missing system file errors.
The DISM / Online / Cleanup-Image / RestoreHealth command is used to repair the Windows image, so that the SFC command becomes effective (if it has not resolved anything before, repeat it after DISM).
The bootrec / rebuildbcd or command allows you to reconstruct the boot configuration of the computer.
The bootrec / fixmbr command allows you to repair the master boot record that manages the startup of the PC
The bootrec / fixboot command creates a new MBR.
We also talked about these commands in the article on how to fix Windows 10 MBR errors and restore the boot loader and computer startup
3) An alternative or additional type of solution to repair Windows 10 if the PC does not start correctly to correct any type of error (such as that of the missing BOOTMGR ) you can use the Windows 10 installation file .
If not yet available, download the Windows 10 installation disc and burn the ISO file to a DVD or USB stick (using a program like Rufus or through Microsoft's Media Creation).
Then start the PC from the DVD or USB (insert the disc and then restart the computer by pressing F8 several times to access the boot menu and select the CD / DVD player) and wait for the loading until the key to install Windows appears 10.
From this screen, you can press the link below Reset your computer to access the section of the troubleshooting tools that can be used to bring Windows 10 back into operation without deleting your personal files (even if in this case the programs will be removed ).
