Discover hidden Facebook messages received in chat and Messenger

Facebook chat has changed a lot over the years.
First it was born as a simple system of direct messages between friends and then, before evolving into the Facebook Messenger app, it had become almost like a real email box, complete with an address of the type .
The current situation sees the possibility of reading and sending messages both with Facebook Messenger and from the Facebook site, by going to the messages section.
What many do not know is the presence, both on the Facebook site and on the Messenger app, of hidden messages, what Facebook calls Messages with filters and Message requests
This dark side of the Facebook messaging service is truly invisible if you ignore its existence.
For those who have never seen them, it can be interesting to find out what type of messages have been received in this hidden section, where all those messages written by contacts who are not our friends are included .
One of the most immediate methods to read received messages that have not been included in the main box is to open the Facebook.com site, click on the message icon at the top and then on Show all .
From the message page, press on requests for messages where some messages received from people not included among friends, but which for Facebook we may still know may be listed.
In addition to these, there is still another section which, instead, includes all the messages received from people who are not our friends and who are not connected with us in any way (which Facebook believes we cannot know because we do not even have friends. in common).
To see this section you must click, again from the message page, on the Other link at the top left and then on " with filters ".
You might be surprised at the amount of messages received in this inbox, made up mostly of advertisements and spam from completely unknown accounts .
It is worthwhile, at least every now and then, to open this hidden page of messages with filters because there may be requests or communications from people who want to get in touch with us, perhaps because politely they ask permission to add us to friends.
The same hidden sections of messages are also visible from the Facebook Messenger app, going to Settings, tapping on the People section to find the option that shows the Message requests and the requests with filters that are all those messages received from non-friends accounts.
Each request for a message or filtered message can be answered in the normal way.
Since these messages can come from anyone, if there are links, it is better not to click them because they could be viruses.
