There are many applications in the Play Store that allow you to download wallpapers for the Android smartphone screen, even with the ability to change it automatically every day. It is therefore surprising, however very positively, that Google has published a new application to choose and change the background of each Android smartphone, in order to make the screen much more beautiful to see, without advertising, so as not to weigh down the system as many do similar apps.
The Google Wallpapers application, released without ads, can be downloaded for free to customize Android quickly, directly and automatically.
The peculiarities of this new app are essentially two.
The first that provides backgrounds with high-quality images optimized for the screen of a smartphone or tablet, with the right proportions and dimensions.
The second one is that you can have the backgrounds rotate automatically so that you can change the image on the phone's main screen every day .
There are 5 categories of backgrounds to choose from: Earth, Nature and Landscapes, Cities and landscapes, Life and then the Textures or abstract backgrounds.
These are images extracted from other Google services including Google Maps and Google+.
For each category you can choose one of the photos or images proposed, or touch the button of the daily wallpaper, to activate the function that changes the wallpaper automatically.
When using this function, you can keep the option to download new wallpapers active only if the phone is connected to a Wifi network, so as not to consume traffic with the data subscription.
Of course, from the same application you can also access all the photos taken with the device, therefore choosing one of " my Photos ".
The app gives its best on devices with Android 7.0 Nougat, where it also becomes possible to choose a different wallpaper for the main screen and for the lock screen.
As for the number of images and varieties, this Wallpapers application is even lower than the number one of the genre, HD Wallpapers, now downloaded more than 50 million times, but for simplicity and for being Google, it becomes a valuable alternative, especially well integrated into Android like no other.
