Save Facebook photos on Android or iPhone

Among the best ways to share photos with friends and relatives, the most used one is, of course, Facebook.
Those who share photos on Facebook can do it from their mobile phone or even from PC and tablet or other devices capable of connecting to the internet.
If in another article we saw how easy it is to create an online copy of the photos taken with the mobile phone, we see here the opposite operation, that is to save the photos published and shared on Facebook on the mobile so as to have a local copy visible even offline, without internet connection .
To save Facebook photos on an Android or iPhone smartphone, you can simply open the Facebook app when there is a good internet connection, open a photo by touching it and then press the menu button of the three dots to find the Save photo option.
This is certainly the easiest way, but also the most laborious, especially if the intention is to save entire albums.
In this case, an external application must be used which must be identified, in the Play Store for Android smartphones, in Photosave for Facebook .
This very simple app allows you to view and download all the photos published on your Facebook profile and also those of friends or anyone else, as long as it is visible.
A similar iPhone app does not currently exist.
However, you can automate the saving of photos every time a photo is published (even from a computer or other devices) on Facebook.
For this purpose, the IFTTT web application can be used to synchronize different web accounts with each other.
You can then choose one of the combinations available to save the photos published in your Facebook diary on a cloud storage service such as Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive or others.
To automatically bring Facebook photos into Dropbox you can activate and use this combination of IFTTT.
Unfortunately, an internet connection will always be required to access these photos.
To synchronize the photos saved in a Dropbox folder on the local memory of the phone, you must therefore use another app such as DropSync.
Dropsync adds the selective sync option so you can choose one or more folders to sync on your phone (and avoid bringing larger unnecessary files to your cell phone).
