To hide the sentimental state, you can leave the " Just me " option and nobody will be able to read if the person is engaged, married or single, not even the boy or girl, if any.
Since the partner may not be happy that the engagement is hiding, you can still make sure that only he or she can see him using the custom privacy setting and selecting his name.
However, if the new relationship status is published in the Timeline and also in the news flow of friends, it can be hidden.
You must therefore click on the " activity log " button of your profile, look for the news in the list and press the circle on the right to hide it and remove it from the diary.
