Top 10 Firefox alternatives based on the same engine

The alternatives to Firefox are the other most popular browsers: Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari and Opera.
Mozilla Firefox, however, is an open-source browser so anyone can take its source code, modify it and develop a new browser, with different characteristics.
In this list, therefore, we speak of alternative projects based on Firefox, browsers that cannot have the same name (which belongs to Mozilla), but which use the same rendering engine (Gecko), however, trying to optimize it and add new features that on the Mozilla browsers may be missing.
1) Waterfox is 64bit Firefox
Mozilla does not yet have an official version of Firefox specifically developed for 64-bit systems.
Waterfox, without adding anything to the official browser, becomes an excellent alternative to Firefox optimized for 64-bit PCs.
This means that many 64bit plugins such as Adobe Flash can be used, which in theory should work better.
Waterfox uses the same data profile as the Firefox installation, thus keeping your favorites and other custom settings.
2) Pale Moon is another great browser for Windows, based on Firefox, which has two versions, one for 32bit computers and one for 64bit.
Palemoon, for me, is an exceptional program, with many more options and, above all, with a much lighter interface.
As written in the review to this browser, PaleMoon is the Firefox browser optimized and lightened for maximum speed .
For those who use Firefox and especially for those who no longer use it complaining of a certain slowness, it should give this magnificent alternative a chance.
3) SeaMonkey is not technically based on Firefox, but uses its source code and is always developed by Mozilla, with additional functions such as e-mail, HTML editor, IRC chat.
Seamonkey is also a browser for Windows, Linux and Mac, faster and lighter than Firefox.
These features have been torn from Firefox to make it a more targeted, fast browser. If you have time for Mozilla's days, you can use SeaMonkey, the successor to the full Mozilla suite. It also has an integrated feed reader.
4) Comodo IceDragon is the safe browser for more private browsing, ideal as a secondary browser.
5) CometBird is a powerful and fast browser that can also be downloaded in Italian.
CometBird is safe, free, with synchronized bookmarks online, many customization options, a function to download videos from the internet, translator and tools for browsing protected from viruses and invasions of privacy.
Cometbird has the same interface as the Mozilla browser and is compatible with all Firefox extensions.
6) Avant Browser was born as an alternative to Internet Explorer but, in the recent update, it added the ability to navigate also using the Firefox rendering engine, thus supporting its extensions.
Avant has many features described in the dedicated review: Navigate with Avant Browser, like IE9, but lighter and with many more options.
7) Camino Browser can be described as a version of Firefox optimized for Mac (also in Italian) that integrates better in the Apple system, taking advantage of some features such as Spotlight and notifications on the dock.
8) IceCat is the GNU version of Firefox for Linux and other free operating systems that eliminates any non-open-source plugin.
9) K-Meleon is a browser that uses the Firefox rendering engine with a minimalist, very light graphic interface.
The development of K-meleon was renewed in 2014 becoming a browser particularly recommended for those who use an old and underpowered computer.
10) Finally we can also mention Epic Browser here, an Indian program developed by Mozilla as an alternative to Firefox that incorporates several add-ons targeted to navigate from India.
