Menu to open portable programs and files from USB sticks and removable disks

In recent years, portable applications have gained great popularity among Windows users. There is a double version of almost all downloadable programs, the portable or portable version and the installable version. The difference is that the installable one is integrated into the Windows system while the portable one can be copied to a USB stick or an external hard disk and can be started on any computer without installations and without leaving traces of use. In general, the installed programs work faster than the portable ones which, however, are transferable. The portable version allows you to try a program before proceeding with the installation.
Those who have a nice collection of portable applications on the USB stick and always keep their favorite programs at hand, instead of opening them by launching the executables from the USB stick, can use a portable start menu, similar to that of Windows.
Those who do not have portable applications can instead download the best all at once with these portable launchers for USB sticks .
Among the best portable application launchers are Portable Apps and Liberkey .
Since portable programs are not installed, they are not even present in the Windows Start menu.
To run and open these programs you need to navigate through the folders and locate the extracted one.
That's why the main function of an application manager is to provide a menu for launching and running portable applications .
Portable Apps Launcher can be downloaded for free from the official website and must be installed directly on the removable disk which can be the USB stick, a memory card or an external hard disk . After installing it, it appears as a start menu on the right, near the clock and has links to open the folders of documents, music, images and resources with the files stored on the USB stick. If you want you can also install it on your computer as an additional start menu to start the files and programs you prefer. After installation you can set the Italian language in the options.
The Options menu is one where you can add portable applications to be launched from the launch menu. Application files must be copied to the same disk or drive where it was installed. In the application addition menu you can also configure automatic executions and scripts for advanced users. By clicking where it says " Click here to download portable applications " you are directed to the Codyssey site which provides links for downloading the most popular and used portable programs, divided into categories. You can also download the suite of portable programs so as to load them into the launcher all together.
About PortableApps I mentioned in the list of the best USB programs to download for free.
Liberkey is certainly easier and faster to use because, after installation, it makes you immediately choose to download a more or less large suite of portable programs that will be automatically added to the start menu . Liberkey has tons of options for: changing the look and feel, checking for application updates (this isn't in CodySafe), associating files to open with a portable program, automatic pen deactivation if you close Liberkey. In addition, install an autorun if you want to start the launcher immediately after connecting the USB stick. The menu is in Italian and offers a convenient repository of documents stored on the USB stick (which PortableApps does too).
About Liberkey, perhaps the best application to start and download portable programs, I spoke in another article on the Portable Apps Suite.
Finally, I remember the list of the best portable programs selected by Navigaweb.
