Prevent unauthorized access to Facebook by receiving email alerts

I keep repeating it, Facebook is important, it is a second internet network that you cannot give up participating in.
You can sign up with a pseudonym or with a real name, you can stay in touch with real friends or simply meet new people, you can promote a business, a business and your work, you can meet new people but, above all, it serves to share one's interests, compare oneself with other people and grow.
All this can be done only if the tool is used well, without thinking that behind a PC you can say and do anything that you would never do in reality, without thinking that what is written is completely private.
The privacy factor becomes so crucial, an Achilles heel that manages Facebook tries to protect without renouncing the sharing of personal data.
Unfortunately, partly because of user superficiality, partly because it is prey to hacker attacks, a Facebook account has become more coveted than an online bank account.
The fact is that, on Facebook, many people click at random, don't look at what they are doing and where they are going and are easily fooled by improbable ads or messages.
Protecting a Facebook account, however, is not so difficult and, recently, a new function has been implemented that allows you to receive an email every time a stranger accesses your personal account .
Recalling the guide to Facebook's privacy settings and the article on what friends and strangers see of me, we put a new piece of practical advice to avoid getting your password and Facebook account stolen.
Many users are unaware that there is an option on Facebook to alert owners of an account or profile about access from other computers and mobile devices .
Although this does not prevent the other user from logging on and spying on all the stored information, you can at least know what happened: that an unauthorized stranger violated the account by entering the login data on the personal profile page.
Each Facebook user can then configure the account to activate the notification of unauthorized access .
The new option is in the account settings menu in the upper right corner of the screen.
Open the general configuration menu, at the bottom there is a line that says: " Account protection " and you have to click on the edit button on the right.
You can then read the following sentence: " To help you keep your Facebook account as safe as possible, we will notify you when access to your account will be made from a computer or mobile device that you have never used before ".
To the question " Do you want to receive notifications about access from new devices"> YES .
Now, you must exit by pressing Settings - Exit and log in again with your username and password.
Before entering Facebook, you are asked to give a name to the computer used for access and you can write any word (I would avoid writing "home" or "office").
Also put the flag under " do not ask again " if you access from your PC and not from a computer shared with other people or the public.
If you go to check your Email box, you will see a new message from Facebook notifying you that your computer has been added as authorized to enter your profile.
From this moment, every time you log in with your login and password to your account from another computer, you are asked to give a name to this new device (both PC and mobile phone or smartphone) and, at the same time, an E- is sent. mail to the owner of the profile to notify him of this new access.
If the user notices that he has never logged in from that computer, he can log in to Facebook and change his password to prevent it from happening again, hoping it won't be too late.
Please note, however, that the computer name remains in memory among the browser's cookies therefore, if you browse in private or anonymous mode or if you empty the temporary files, you will need to re-register the used and authorized PC.
An added computer can be removed from the same security setting.
Even if it is not a real protection, in the sense that you cannot block access to strangers, it is an effective way of protecting your account and not being duped twice.
