The Google Chrome browser becomes universal and after the version for Android phones and tablets Chrome has also arrived for iPad and iPhone and it works very well even if there is a premise to do. Since Apple limits the way applications open the web, the different browsers that can be installed on the iPhone and iPad still have to rely on the default Safari browser.
Like the others, therefore, Chrome also provides practically only a different navigation interface, still based on the Safari Mobile rendering engine.
This however is not a problem because Safari works well and is fast.
The only problem is that Apple does not allow browsers and other applications to take advantage of Safari's very fast Nitro Javascript engine for security reasons.
The lack of support for Nitro JavaScript is one of the reasons why the Facebook iPhone application goes very slowly (making the default app necessary on the system).
In addition, Apple does not allow external applications to replace system applications for predefined functions.
All this talk translates into two practical consequences:
- that in Chrome on iOS web pages won't load faster than they do with Safari.
- that Chrome cannot be set as the default browser so links on Email, messages or other apps will always be opened by Safari.
Of course you can put the Chrome launch button on the main screen of the iPhone and iPad to start browsing the internet.

If Chrome for iPhone works well, it can be said that Chrome really excels on iPad .

On Chrome there is also the incognito mode to avoid saving the visited sites in the history.
