Create specific passwords for apps with Google access

A Google account is not only used to connect to Blogger, Gmail or Youtube but also to access many other external services. Also, with a Google Account you can buy Android applications on Google Play, books on Google Books and several other things like Google Pay. When Google access is requested from an external program such as Google Chrome or a Chat client or to access from an Android smartphone, an application-specific password can be created, usable only once and revocable at any time.
The specific password ensures a higher level of security for the Google account because there is never the risk of it being stolen.
In this blog we have often talked about programs that require access with Google accounts and, rightly, the most prudent people fear that the password can be transmitted in the clear to those who developed that software. Furthermore, since Android only works if you connect with a Google account, there could be a serious security risk in the event that your mobile phone is lost or stolen.
In all these cases, to try external programs in complete freedom without any fear, it is better to create the specific password for the application.
In order to create this disposable passkey, you must first enable two-step verification for logging in to Google . The two-step verification requires that, to access Gmail or any Google service, in addition to the password, you must also enter a variable code that you receive on your mobile phone.
This double check can be used when entering a Google service from the browser, while for other external programs or services it does not work. therefore it takes a specific password that can be used only once, but it is valid until the access is manually revoked. For example, after enabling 2-step verification, you cannot log in to Chrome if not using an automatically generated password and the same thing applies to accessing Gmail from your Android phone or from a program such as Microsoft Outlook. The moment it is revoked, you will be asked to log in again.
To create specific passwords for each application, you need to enter the Account settings page and enter the security section.
Press where " Password for apps " is written, enter the main password of the Google account and then select the app in the first drop-down menu to create the password. If it is not one of the list, you can choose Other and then write any name. Then generate the new password that can be used to access the Google account only from that application or program. It is composed of 16 characters to be inserted without spaces. With the trash can button, you can cancel it at any time.
