BigStage no longer exists, and was purchased by a company that makes animation software technologies.
This company is Image Metrics which has not maintained a demo of the 3D avatar creation tool, an application that remains truly innovative and important. Basically it creates an effect very similar to that of animated films or a video game, in which you can see your own self moving and making expressions in a digitized way. To work, the application only requires uploading a front photo taken with good brightness. The result is a 3D image that comes alive as if it had a life of its own, can speak, gesticulate and change the expression of the face. The avatar can be decorated with hair or glasses. The application gives the choice of creating a video or an image, placing the face in one of the proposed scenarios (including a piece by the A-Teams). The final image can be saved or shared on Facebook.
