Share location in Google Maps in real time

In Google Maps on Android and iPhone, a new function is available from today that can prove to be really useful on several occasions, the one to share the position in real time .
Even before, it was possible to share the position of a place or place where we are using Google Maps, but in a static way, that is, simply by sending the coordinates.
This can still be done by tapping on a point on the map and then using the button to share and send the link of that location via email or messages.
The new function, however, is located in the main menu of the application (in Android scroll with your finger to the right or touch the button at the top left) where you can find the " Share location " button.
In this case, the position can be shared in real time, i.e. continuously in each movement, for the desired time.
Location sharing can be done directly with Google contacts, or even by creating a link to be sent via messages or other applications (anyone with this link can see and follow our position).
In this case, the link can also be used from a PC, to open the Google Maps site on the shared position and follow the movements on the map.
Location sharing with Google Maps can be left on for an hour or indefinitely, until you turn it off.
After sharing the location, you can touch the option from the main menu again to manage the functionality and, in addition to being able to see how long it has been active, stop sharing and also add other people to the sharing or view the link that if open from a computer it allows you to follow us in real time.
From the sharing management screen, you can touch the button at the top right of the options to open the settings and disable the sharing link or removing people from being able to locate us.
With this function, Google Maps becomes one of the applications to send the position from the mobile phone or be followed in real time .
It should be noted that Google has also recently released the Trusted Contacts app to let trusted people know where we are.
In addition, it is also worth mentioning that Google Maps records your location history independently and privately.
