With WhatsApp, a single touch is enough to send the voice message to a friend.
Then press on the microphone, keep your finger on the screen and speak.
WhatsApp displays the registration time and sends it to the recipient as soon as you release the registration button .
You can swipe left to cancel the registration at any time
You can still delete the message before it is received by pressing on the X after sending it, before the audio file is loaded and sent.
Compared to other applications that send voice messages (such as messages recorded with Facebook Messenger), with Whatsapp there is no length limit to these voice memos .
You can then share a quick two-word message or even an entire hour-long dialogue. It is also possible to play and listen to voicemail messages both sent and received whenever you want.
Instead, there is no possibility to listen to the recording before it is sent.
You can also delete the voicemail messages sent some time ago so that no one can hear them anymore by holding your finger on them and then hitting the trash in the bar that appears at the top.
The new voice mail function will be available in WhatsApp on all platforms: iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Nokia.
Whatsapp thus becomes one of the "Push To Talk" apps to use the mobile phone as a Walkie Talkie (Android and iPhone) .
You can speak by voice using Whatsapp to make free calls to contacts, as explained in another article.
