The most used method to transfer music from PC to smartphone is definitely the one via USB cable, which may seem the most immediate, but also the most laborious and inconvenient. Through USB cable, however, you can transfer files from PC to mobile phone as you would with a common USB stick, without having to make particular configurations and in a rather natural way.
After connecting the smartphone to the computer, the screen to choose what type of connection to make appears on the screen of the Android phone. Choose the File Transfer option to have the device automatically recognized by the Windows PC and make it appear in the left section of each folder.
If Android is not recognized by the PC with USB connection, we have seen the guide to solve any type of connection problem.
On Mac, you need to use the Android File Transfer program to browse the contents of the Android smartphone and copy the music files to it.
Then open the folder with the mp3 files of the PC or Mac and drag them to the Music folder (usually already exists and it's called Music) of the Android phone.

Transfer via USB Drive

You can definitely use an external USB drive (to which your music files have been copied) to transfer music from your PC to your mobile phone. In this case it is necessary to have a USB stick with USB-C connection or a USB-OTG (On The Go) adapter cable (which you can buy on Amazon for a few Euros) in order to connect the pen to the phone. In this case you will have to open the File Manager app (different depending on the smartphone), browse the files in the pen and use the keys to copy and paste (or use the Move key) of the songs. In case you have difficulties, you can install a better File Manager app than the default one.

Transfer Music through Google Drive

Google Drive, with its 15 GB of free space, is the most convenient cloud service to use to transfer music to wifi on all the smartphones or tablets you have.
The Google Drive app for Android doesn't allow you to download entire folders directly to Android, so you should transfer files one by one.
There are two ways to upload music to Google Drive from your PC: using the Google Drive website, pressing the button to add new files; using the official Google Backup and Synchronization program, which allows you to synchronize the Music folder on Google Drive automatically.
Thanks to apps like CloudBeats or even CloudPlayer, which allow you to listen to music from Google Drive in streaming.
From the Cloudbeats app you can add the Google Drive account and then select the folder with the music files to copy them all together on the Android smartphone.

Wireless transfer via Airdroid

If there is no USB cable and you do not want to use the Cloud, you can upload music files from your PC to your mobile phone using an online service such as AirDroid, which works all over wifi. Installed the Airdroid app on Android and after creating an account, you can then control every aspect of the phone through a web interface on the PC, which also allows you to browse files and transfer them from smartphone to PC and from PC to smartphone.
If you don't like Airdroid there are also other programs to manage Android from PC and transfer data (in wifi or USB)

Upload music to Google Play Music

An online service little advertised by Google, but very useful and convenient is to upload music online to Google Play Music, which can be installed as a PC program to synchronize the Music folder and bring up to 100, 000 songs to the cloud.
Once uploaded, the files will then be available with the Google Play Music app and you can listen to the songs in streaming or by downloading them to the phone's memory.
