Who owns a set of speakers with limited volume or if you listen to a low recorded music, you can try to increase the volume beyond the maximum allowed, to raise and then enhance, via software, the sounds coming out of the speakers or headphones connected to the computer. Increasing the volume beyond the maximum can be done in at least 3 different ways, with more or less variable results depending on the speakers or headphones used.
You can then pump the volume beyond the maximum, trying to see if the sound comes out distorted or if it still maintains good quality.
In any case, even when doing these tests, you have to be careful, especially if you want to use headphones, not to turn up the volume too much causing permanent damage to hearing.

1) The first way to increase the volume beyond the maximum of movies and music is to use a program like VLC that only works with multimedia files opened by the computer.
So if you see a movie with too low audio on your computer, you can use VLC and its function to turn the volume up to 125% for music and even up to 200% for movies.
Alternatively you can also use GOM Player which raises the volume over 100%.
2) To raise the volume of the PC beyond the maximum so that you can hear even Youtube videos or songs from Spotify or other streaming music sites, you cannot use VLC.
The trick is hidden in the Windows audio options, which should work with almost any type of Realtek or VIA sound card.
First of all, update your computer's audio drivers.
Then go to the Control Panel, the Sounds icon and then to Audio (or directly to Audio in the icon view).
From Audio, select the used and default sound card, press on Properties and move to the enhancements tab.
From this tab, activate the Loudness Equalization option or in Italian, Equalization audio level .
If available, also activate the Bass Boost option.
After enabling the option, the maximum speaker volume is 150% of the previous maximum volume.
3) If the audio enhancement option is not available (or if it doesn't work), you can use a program like DFX Audio Enhancer for Windows.
DFX is available in a free version with some limitations or in a premium version with all the functions.
The installation of the free version is accompanied by a sponsor to be disabled and by the installation of a virtual audio driver which is instead necessary.
DFX then becomes the default sound card of the computer and allows, through its control panel, to increase the maximum volume by 150%, raising the effect sliders to level 5.
If you want to raise more and also to be able to use the 3D effects and the equalizer presets, you have to buy the premium version of DFX, which however costs well $ 40, not a little.
4) To increase the volume of Google Chrome you can use the Volume Master extension which allows you to increase the volume up to 600% more.
