As repeatedly written in the guides to recognize and remove viruses and malware, the best program is MalwareBytes Anti-malware . The only problem is that some recent viruses such as that of the Postal Police, the Smart or the fake antiviruses are able to block the execution of the security programs and any tool that can be used to stop the action of the virus.
The virus is then capable of redirecting internet searches and preventing the user from downloading scan programs to eliminate the infection.
The Windows PC then becomes blocked and hostage of the malware and the only solution is to go into safe mode or use a live antivirus to prevent the virus from loading.
To remedy this problem, the creators of the popular MalwareBytes anti-malware program have created a new version of their scanning software called MBAM Chameleon which I really recommend downloading immediately to keep it ready in case of problems or emergencies .
Then download the small 1 MB MalwareBytes Chameleon file, unzip it and find that the unzipped folder contains many executable files with names that will sound known: firefox, svchost, iexplorer, rundll32.exe and other files all with the same size.
All these files are none other than the same program, MalwareBytes, hidden under other names.
To start the antimalware you have to open the chameleon.chm file with the icon that has a question mark.
In the help file there are buttons to start Chameleon, which should be tried one after the other until a black DOS window opens indicating the correct launch of the program.
In practice, several attempts are made to steal the virus and prevent it from blocking the execution of the atimalware program, that is, its cure.
MalwareBytes-chameleon will then attempt to terminate any malicious process that blocks the PC and then runs the real MalwareBytes program if it is already installed on the PC .
If it is not already installed, the download of MalwareBytes will start automatically, which can then be used to clean up Windows.
There is no (known) virus that can resist removal if you use tools like Malwarebytes, in combination with other small tools like rKill (of which MBAM CHameleon is an alternative to rKill ) and other big anti-malware programs like Hitman Pro .
