Facebook security applications and antivirus protection on links and messages

The immense popularity of Facebook has made it a primary target of hackers and cybercriminals who, taking advantage of the little foresight of people, manage to spread viruses better than they would be able to do in other ways.
On the bulletin board of many people who allow others to write on their bulletin board and who add many friends even if they don't know them, links and links to sites full of viruses and malware can hide.
It is really easy to go to a free profile of a contact and leave a spam link for this person's friends to instinctively go and click on it.
To avoid the danger of clicking on a link that leads to download junk programs or that leads to websites with malware, you must keep your Facebook profile and avoid those people who spread viruses on the information flow on the homepage
In another article I had written about Facebook virus applications this time instead we see how to install an antivirus as an application on Facebook that checks the published links and shared sites on the bulletin board, signaling the unsafe ones.
There are 3 security applications for Facebook, for the moment, which allow you to check your Facebook account and make an antivirus scan on the bulletin board and on the home .
READ FIRST: Antivirus extensions for browsers, to check links and clicks on the internet
1) Norton Safe Web is a free application that, after installing, starts a scan on the posts on the bulletin board to check if there are unsafe and unverified links.
Not only is your profile checked, but also the links published by friends and contacts on their message boards, groups and event pages in which you are invited to participate.
Norton Safe Web also offers automatic protection .
After the first scan, you can press the " Activate AutoScan " button at the top right which enables a periodic scan of the websites shared by friends in the last 24 hours .
Safe Web is a feature included in the Norton Internet Security 2011 suite.
2) BitDefender, another popular and reliable antivirus manufacturer, recently developed a Facebook security application.
It's called BitDefender Safego (no longer exists) which checks the user profile to check all the shared links, I buy the shortened ones (like Bit.ly or goo.gl).
Safego's scanner immediately reports if there is something you should avoid clicking.
Safego also checks if there are privacy issues on your account.
3) MyPageKeeper (no longer exists) is a free Facebook application that continuously monitors messages and news feeds to block malicious content.
If the application suspects the presence of spam or malware, it notifies the user and gives the option to remove the content.
It can also protect accounts from friend accounts that can get virus infected or spammed just by looking at your page.
Surely other antivirus dedicated to Facebook will come out and will be increasingly useful in preventing spam attacks and viruses that can damage their privacy.
I definitely recommend using Norton Safe Web with Autoscan active, installing MyPageKeeper and trying the Bit Defender tool that does something more.
