PostePay app to send and receive money in P2P (Android and iPhone)

Despite its reputation as an old and motionless company, Poste Italiane every now and then something innovative (even if copied by others) for the benefit of its customers.
In particular, it makes it possible for all holders of a PostePay card to send and receive small amounts of money quickly, easily and quickly, using the mobile app .
With this application it is possible for those who have PostePay, only by indicating the name of another person who has a PostePay or their telephone number, to send them money and, at the same time, be ready to receive them.
Transactions have no commission costs if they are less than 25 Euros, while they cost 1 Euro for higher transfers.
The Paypal app can be downloaded and installed for free and used by all those who are registered on the Italian Post Office site with a Bancoposta account or only with a PostePay prepaid card.
The PostePay app can be downloaded for any Android smartphone and for iPhone .
After installing it, proceed with the login by entering the username and password of the Post Office account.
In the event that you do not have login data, you can register on the Postepay.it website or proceed to recover your password.
After logging in to the PostePay application, you can touch the Peer to Peer payments option and enable it by following the guided procedure.
In this procedure, you are asked to indicate an alias, which is a kind of nickname that others can use to send us money, and a 6-digit security code that is requested before each operation.
The operation must then be confirmed by entering the temporary code received via SMS (PostePay security is linked to the telephone number as can be configured on the personal account page on the PostePay website).
Once finished, you can tap the button at the top left of the application to open the options menu and check the p2p data, to review the alias and to find a QR code that can be saved and used to receive payments.
From the PostePay app, once the configuration is finished, you can touch the P2P button to request money or send it .
Pay attention here that at the moment the app has the P2P button very close to the Pay and Receive buttons which are used instead to top up (another Postepay or telephone card) and to top up the PostePay.
The P2P button, on the other hand, opens a screen where you only have to enter the amount which, as mentioned, must be less than 25 Euros in order to make free operations.
After writing the amount, for example 10 Euros, you can press the key to Send or request them.
On the next screen you can write the phone number or the name of the person to send the money to or receive it, without having to write down your credit card number.
Each transfer of money is immediate and instantaneous and is ideal for dividing the money in the account of a dinner between several people (if less than 25 Euros per person), to receive payments for cinema tickets or soccer or any other small spending.
This PostePay novelty is certainly appreciated and very useful, but it is certainly not something innovative and unique.
Already in another article I had in fact explained how it is possible to use the PayPal App to pay by mobile phone, which works the same way, by binding to the Paypal account.
