Facebook app for Windows 10 and 8 with desktop notifications

We had to wait for the Windows 10 update to come out to finally have the official Facebook application for PC and tablet with Windows 10 . The application, which was available in the Microsoft Store on all Windows 10 systems, was retired in 2020.
Today you can still install Facebook as a Progressive Web App, using Chrome or Edge. In Edge, just open the Facebook site and then go to the menu at the top right to find the App> Install site as app item . In Chrome, go to the menu and then to More tools> Create shortcut .
In both cases, the Facebook app is installed on the Windows 10 Start menu and can be started as if it were a separate program from the web browser.
Instead, the possibility remains to install Facebook Messenger as an app for Windows and Mac PCs
The Facebook PWA application is, in fact, the Facebook website. The menu on the left remains in view at all times, from the left sidebar you can also do searches while in the right one, instead of seeing advertisements, there is the chat and the list of best friends. At the top you can find buttons for posting a status update, a photo or checking in somewhere. The interface is similar to that of the apps for Android and iPad tablets because it is optimized for touch screens, as are all the apps from the Microsoft store for Windows 10 and 8.1.
The question that arises now is: why should I want to use a Facebook app, when you can simply open the Facebook website "> Best applications for Windows 8 and Windows 10
