Sounds to relax, music to concentrate, sleep or wake up

Some time ago there was a great clamor of the press and national blogs for the "musical droge" called IDoser, of the audio tracks with electronic sounds, each with the name of a real drug, which, in theory, would give the same sensations and gi same effects.
The theory that sound influences brain waves, however, is certainly true, music of a certain type, allows you to relax, lightening the mood.
In practice, in very simplified words, the electrical impulse that stimulates the brain can be influenced by a sound frequency that can bring attention (alpha), relaxation (beta), drowsiness (theta) and deep sleep (delta).
With an external stimulus (in this case using sound / music) it is possible to move the mood from alpha to beta or theta depending on whether you are trying to fall asleep or reactivate the senses.
So now let's see some of these experimental music and sounds, depending on the need of the moment: relaxation, sleep, attention, concentration, alarm clock and so on.
First of all, ideal for relaxing, there are the nature sound mixers ideal for resting the mind and body which are listed in another article.
1) To relax or fall asleep you can use the Pzizz application which aims to combat insomnia.
Pzizz is not free but offers 2 15-minute samples of mp3, one that should help you fall asleep and the other is an Energizer.
If 15 minutes are enough to relax enough and fall asleep well, otherwise you can use the automatic repeat button; purchase is not recommended unless you notice real effects on yourself.
2) MoodyMusic is an online collection of sounds from nature to improve concentration, with sounds grouped into three different categories: rain, ocean and waterfalls.
3) GetRelaxed is a perfect example of a restful site with images and a soundtrack of 15 music tracks.
4) Brainaural is a site that generates sounds and "binaural Beats" able to relax the mind, remove stress and promote concentration.
5) The mixed ambient and nature sounds are listed on another page.
6) The Buddha Machine Wall Sites from the article on how to create electronic music online allows you to easily compose slow melodies, similar to those of the Cafe Del Mar or Buddha Bar compilation.
7) On the Sleepbot website, a kind of online radio with only ambient sounds and music indicated not only for relaxation but just for sleeping.
8) Dlooch only works on Macs and loops relaxing sounds with fading in and out effects.
9) With the GoodNight Timer program it is possible to listen to music on the PC and configure a volume reduction with gradual reduction, until the computer is automatically turned off .
Ideal therefore if you want to fall asleep with music without worrying about your computer being turned on at high volume.
10) The beauty of podcasts should not be overlooked when searching for ambient sounds. There are some such as Dark Ambient [iTunes link] eBuddha Lounge Music [iTunes link] very beautiful and ideal to play in the background to rest.
Just do a simple search in the iTunes Store with the word "ambient" and scroll through the results to find very nice chill out music tracks.
11) Maybe therefore it can help to concentrate the so-called White noise or White Noise .
In a nutshell, it is a collection of frequencies of sounds that cover noises and, for example, the buzz of people chatting, but for a more detailed explanation I refer to Wikipedia.
White Noise can be heard on Macs with the Noisy application, or online on the Simply Noise site which also has a pink noise and a red noise for whose differences we still return to Wikipedia.
All of these sounds are best appreciated when using stereo headphones.
12) Other sites to use for sleeping or relaxing are Free White Noise Player, with sounds of nature in continuous loop and White Noise 24/7 .
