Rotate page or text in Word and LibreOffice

Those who use little Office programs may find it difficult to rotate the page, so as to change its orientation once printed and make the text occupy all the space in width.
Writing and printing a sheet in landscape orientation is useful for creating larger writings or for sheets made only of titles and images with landcape format, that is, with the horizontal dimension greater than the vertical one.
If desired, it is also possible, using the Office or Libreoffice programs, to rotate only the written text while still keeping the page vertical, to view the writing turned upside down or, more useful, vertically (which then once printed you can turn the sheet and see them straight.
Changing the orientation of a Word sheet, which by default is always vertical, with the size of the height greater than the width as in a notebook is quite simple in Microsoft Word.
For any type of document, just go to the Layout menu and choose the page orientation, whether vertical or horizontal.
In the Layout menu you can also expand the Page Setup options section by clicking on the corner to the right of the options box.
In this screen it is also possible, using the option below, to apply the rotation of the orientation not for the whole document, but only from a certain point onwards, so as to create a mixed document.
The point from which the horizontal sheet can be applied can only be a page break.
To add a page break, go to the Layout menu again.
In LibreOffice Writer the choice of orientation is instead found in the Page options which are located on the right side of the document.
If you don't see the Properties column, go to the View menu and press on the sidebar .
This sidebar can be hidden or expanded by pressing on its left edge.
In the sidebar, expand the Page options to find the orientation button, to choose whether vertical or horizontal, obviously without changing the sheet size.
Rotating only the text in Word and LibreOffice is also quite simple.
You must write on the sheet using the text boxes that can be inserted from the Insert menu.
In LibreOffice after pressing on Insert text box you have to draw it using the mouse, keeping pressed on the sheet and choosing how big it must be.
Once the text box has been created and written, it can be easily rotated, in Word, using the spiral arrow located at the top of the box.
In LibreOffice Writer, however, the rotation button is located on the Properties sidebar.
Rotating the text box, it can be useful to add a border or outline.
In Word the outline options are in the Format menu, while in LibreOffice, you can use the Properties sidebar, by expanding you have to click on Text Box and Shape .
