Recover data on Android: Photos, SMS, numbers and apps

The problem with today's smartphones is that they are, being full of important personal data that risk being lost forever when something is deleted or if the phone breaks or is stolen.
Fortunately, in our modern digital world, things are not lost forever and it is always possible to recover what is canceled or which no longer seems available, only that it is necessary to prepare for this possibility.
Anyone who has an Android smartphone can feel confident that, if it is properly configured, it will always be possible to recover the most important data such as photos, SMS, phone numbers and even the settings and apps installed .
This system also allows you to reset the phone's factory settings without losing anything.
The most important thing to do to save the data of an Android phone and to be able to recover it at any time is to remember that everything is tied to the Google account (Gmail) configured the first time the smartphone is started .
Therefore, if we have an Android phone from Samsung or Huawei or other brands, if we do not remember which Google account we are logged in or if it is an account that we neglect, it is absolutely advisable to create a new one or configure all the security options of the Google Account.
In particular, I recommend changing and remembering the password well and setting up two-factor authentication.
On Android phones you can then activate the option that automatically backs up your phone data, saving it on the Google account configured for access.
To be sure that this function is activated, go to " Settings -> Backup and reset " and set the " Backup my data " option to ON.
As it is written in the instructions under the activation switch, this function activates an automatic data backup, also including Wifi network passwords and call history, installed apps and their settings.
In Settings> Accounts, tap on Google and choose which data to save in the backup: Calendar, Contacts, App data, People details, Drive, Documents, Gmail, Keep, Google Fit, News and weather (depending on which Google applications we have this list may be different).
With this option active, in case the phone breaks or is lost, on the new phone just log in with the same account to recover all the data saved by the automatic backup.
Among these data there are no SMS, for which a different app is needed, not Google.
For the backup of SMS on Android there are several apps, among which the best one can be considered SMS Backup and restore.
Once backed up, this can be saved to Google Drive and then restored to another phone or if we have deleted everything on the smartphone.
Automatic backup data does not include photos, but also for this there is a very simple solution offered by Google Photos.
As pointed out several times, Google Photos makes automatic and unlimited backup of all photos taken with the smartphone.
Without limits it means that you can upload all the photos and videos you want for free without exclusions, provided they are of a resolution of less than 16 Megapixels.
As for the phone numbers stored in the phone book, these are certainly included in the backup even if you need to change one more setting.
Open the Contacts app on your phone, go to settings (if you use the Google Contacts app you have to tap on the button with three lines) and check that the default account for saving new contacts is Gmail.
In another article the extended guide to recover contacts and contacts on Android, iPhone and Samsung phones .
NOTE: In case we have canceled a phone number that we needed instead, from the Google account it is possible to recover that number very easily, within 30 days of cancellation.
Then visit the Google Contacts site from your PC, log in with the same account used on Android and click on More in the menu on the left.
Among the options you will find the option to cancel the changes and to be able to recover the recently deleted or modified numbers, up to 30 days before.
Finally, if you intend to try to recover a photo or file that was on the phone and that was not saved in a backup, then you can try the apps to recover data and photos deleted on Android such as DiskDigger.
