Faster microSD cards for smartphones

Our smartphone has little internal memory (8 or 16 GB) and we don't know how to recover space for photos and videos "> Choose the best MicroSD for Android smartphones
On the microSD there are various symbols and icons that allow users to identify the class of the memory card, so as to have a clear picture of the minimum speed that can be reached in reading and writing. Obviously the higher the class, the higher the speed of the card and the shorter the waiting times when we record a video or save a large number of files (in particular high definition photographs). A graphic summary of the available classes and their respective symbols can be seen below.

The first column on the left identifies the minimum guaranteed speed, the second column the speed expressed in classes, the second column the speeds expressed in UHS classes while the last column expresses the speed expressed in "video values". Each class has its own specific meaning and we can use one based on the scenario in which we must use the microSD card.
- Saving generic files : any microSD with at least class 6 is fine
- Saving photos and videos in FullHD : we will have to focus on a class 10 microSD card, UHS class 1 and video class V10.
- Saving photos and videos in 4K : in this case we will have to focus on a UHS class 3 microSD with video class V30 or V60, so as to have enough speed to save videos in ultra other definition.
- 8K video saving : for the videos of the future it is possible to focus on the faster video cards, currently identified as video class V90.
In addition to the speed of the microSD card itself, to get the best results we will also have to check the speed of the bus that exchanges data with the device in which the card is used, so that you can really make the most of it. A graphic summary of the bus classes available for microSD cards is shown below.

In order to obtain the best performance, we make sure that the device chosen supports the UHS-I or UHS-II bus classes and that the symbols are present in the device package or box, only in this way will we be able to take full advantage of the microSDs that have the requirements of speeds expressed by the classes seen above. Inserting a V90 microSD into a smartphone that only supports a High Speed bus will not allow you to take advantage of the high speed of these memory cards.
