Install the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) on Windows Home

The Local Group Policy Editor in Windows 10, Windows 7 and 8 is the hidden Windows tool that allows you to modify many internal settings, otherwise modifiable only by going to rewrite the registry keys.
We saw in another article a guide to gpedit.msc and how to use the Windows Group Policy editor how many things can be changed and how useful it can be especially for system administrators.
The Group Policy editor is, however, a tool available only in the Windows Pro or Professional versions, Windows 7 Ultimate, windows Enterprise and Education versions.
In practice there is not in PCs with Windows Home Edition, be it Windows 10, 7 or 8 and even in the Starter versions of Windows 7.
The good news now is that an independent developer has managed to bring the Group Policy editor to Windows Home and Starter versions to download and install gpedit.msc as if it were a normal program.
From the ItechTics website it is possible to download a Zip file by pressing the download button in the middle of the page used to add the gpedit.msc tool to Windows 10, 7 and 8 Home .
Extract the ZIP file files into a folder and then open this folder and run the setup.exe file.
Then follow the steps of the installation wizard and complete it.
Once the installation is done, if you are using a 32 bit Windows system, then it is not a good thing, but if you are using Windows 64 bit there is one more step to do.
You need to open explorora resources, go to the folder C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64 and from this folder select the GroupPolicy folder, the GroupPolicyUsers folder and the gpedit.msc file and copy them using the right-click menu.
Then go to the C: \ Windows \ System32 folder and paste these two folders and the copied file.
You don't have to move these elements, but make a copy of them.
Then restart your computer and try to open the Group Policy Editor by looking for gpedit.msc on the Start menu or from the Run box.
