IFTTT on Android to automate everything on the phone

Ifttt is perhaps one of the best online services ever created, very particular, but truly ingenious. For those who do not know it, IFTTT stands for If This Than That or if this happens, then do that and, as already explained in the past, it is basically a service to connect online accounts with automatic actions and updates .
For example, it can be said that if you publish a photo on Facebook, it is also saved in Dropbox so that you can save a backup copy which is also synchronized on your computer.
In another article we saw some of the best combinations of IFTTT to synchronize web accounts automatically .
IFTTT already exists as an iPhone app and now the Android app has also been released which allows you to automate certain activities on the phone.
The IFTT application can be downloaded for free for all Android phones from the Google Play Store and requires login with a registered account.
The app, after installation, activates some channels specific for Android, to automate certain internal system actions and related to registered web accounts.
There are six new channels in IFTTT for Android :
- AndroidP device channel
- Location
- Notifications
- Call
- Photos
- SMS
They appear and can be configured via the internet from the computer or from the app itself by going to this page.
For example, you can use these combinations to automate your cell phone .
- Receive personalized notifications for everything using the Android notification channel.
- Automatically change the phone volume or wallpaper based on where you are by combining the device channel with the location channel.
You can also trigger other events based on when you connect or disconnect to a certain wifi network.
- Connect reaching a position by sending an SMS .
- Keep the call log in a file saved online on Google Drive or set a reminder to recall the numbers of missed calls .
- automatically back up the photos or automatically receive the screenshots made on the phone via email.
- Schedule or automatically send SMS text messages .
Basically you can automate almost everything with IFTT which then becomes one of the best apps to activate automatic actions on Android based on the time, place or other events among which there is my favorite, Llama.
