1) What is Kindle Unlimited
Kindle Unlimited is the subscription service offered by Amazon for all those who love reading and want to read books without time limits, without page limits and without having to buy a copy of the book (whether physical or digital).
Once the service is activated we will have access to over 20, 000 books in Italian and over 1 million books in other languages, we just have to choose what to read.
Obviously the selection of "readable" titles with the subscription is Amazon's prerogative, therefore we recommend, before activating anything, to carefully read what is present in the Kindle Unlimited catalog, so as to know in advance if it is convenient to activate the subscription for our reading tastes (we can do a search by author, by series or by book).

We can use the search bar at the top or one of the categories on the left side: books compatible with Kindle Unlimited have the same name written on the cover, so we can know in advance if reading will be allowed with the subscription or we will have to buy the book (this type of choice is made by Amazon or by the publishers of the book).
You have to know that these books are accessible without limits but they are not "ours": they will always remain Amazon's property, so as soon as we stop the subscription we will no longer be able to read them (even if we have not finished the book).
2) When it costs and how to activate it
We can subscribe to the service if we already have an Amazon account (not necessarily Prime), using the link here -> Kindle Unlimited .
If we don't have an Amazon account yet, click Create your Amazon account, then enter a valid email and password.
Once logged in we click the Subscribe button , it is free 30 days on the previous page to confirm the activation of the service on our account.
As explained the first month is on free trial, then the subscription is automatically renewed for € 9.99 per month, using the same payment method used for purchases (therefore the credit or prepaid card assigned on Amazon).
After the month of free trial (but also at any time thereafter) we can deactivate your subscription to Kindle Unlimited simply by going to the Amazon page, clicking on My Kindle Unlimited at the top and pressing the Unsubscribe Kindle Unlimited button, present under the Manage Membership menu.
NOTE: The subscription to Kindle Unlimited is not included in Amazon Prime, you pay separately.
3) How to use Kindle Unlimited on Kindle
On Kindle devices it is very simple to use Kindle Unlimited, since it is closely linked to your Amazon account associated with the first start.
Open the catalog of books on your device, then use the Kindle Unlimited filter or the appropriate menu item to open the selection of books that we can take advantage of with the subscription.
As long as the subscription is active, all books will be downloadable on the Kindle and readable without limits.
Even books selected with other methods will be synchronized on the ebook reader, so that you can continue reading on the suitable device at any time.

4) How to use Kindle Unlimited on PC
On PC we can read all Kindle Unlimited books simply by opening the service page with any modern browser and selecting the book to read from the collection; then click on Read for free on the side, so as to open the integrated reader with which we can browse all the pages.
A good browser for reading is Google Chrome.
5) How to use Kindle Unlimited on smartphones and tablets
If we wanted to start reading on our smartphone or, better yet, on a tablet we can do it using the Kindle app, freely downloadable from here -> Kindle (Android) and Kindle (iOS).
Once the app is downloaded, we enter the access credentials of our Amazon account with Kindle Unlimited active, so as to have immediate access to the entire catalog of books compatible with the subscription and, in case we have already started reading on other devices, take a book from where we left it.

As a valid alternative to this service we can try Amazon Prime Reading, a reduced collection of books (the page says hundreds) taken from Kindle Unlimited and accessible without limits to all users who subscribe to Amazon Prime.
