F Lux on PC for less hassle when looking at the screen in the evening

Over time, F.Lux has become one of the most popular programs ever for Windows, Mac and Linux PCs, one of those that everyone should have and should use, without exception.
For those unfamiliar with it, it is a program that changes the brightness and coloring of the computer screen according to the time of day, so as to dim the blue lights in the evening.
This means that F.Lux changes the color spectrum of the PC monitor giving a warmer shade, tending to yellow or red, almost completely canceling the blue and white light, because these colors of the screen bothers and tired the eyes, especially in the evening and at night .
Furthermore, scientific studies have shown that blue light is responsible for circadian rhythm and sleep disturbances.
I talked a lot about these problems in the guide on how to protect eyesight from computer and mobile screens .
Although there are many similar programs, F.Lux is clearly the most popular, only to be installed, in order to adapt the color of the monitor to sunlight, avoid eye strain and, consequently, an indispensable tool to get tired less in case many hours are spent in front of the PC.

F.Lux can be downloaded for free for Windows, Mac and Linux PCs from the official website or can also be downloaded from the Microsoft Store as an app for Windows 10 .
Once installed, you can leave it running in the background all the time in order to allow the program to adjust the color of the monitor according to the brightness of the day.
The coloration or temperature of the screen and computer images will therefore depend on the position of the sun detected based on the position and time.
The only mandatory configuration, therefore, is to activate automatic location or specify the corrdinate, longitude and latitude, of the place where you are.
Those who work on the PC as a designer and with photo editing tools and image corrections, may find F-Lux problematic, because it alters the colors on the screen.
By pressing the right button on the program icon, which appears near the clock, you can still pause the change of colors, going to Disable.
You can therefore disable F.Lux for an hour or when using a specific program which can be, for example, Photoshop, the photo viewer, the program to watch movies on the computer or a video game.
Personally I think it is an indispensable program for every PC, very useful especially at night when you are tired, to not go to sleep stunned and to feel your eyes less tired from long days at the computer.
Of course, those who use Windows 10 can activate night mode in Settings> System> Display, but F.Lux offers many more options to customize and more precision.
If needed, you can also have an unofficial version of F.Lux that works only with Google Chrome, by installing the G Lux extension.
