Microsoft has published the list of editions of Windows 10, which will be released this summer and can be installed on any device, whether PC, tablet, XBox or mobile phone. The company has announced as many as 7 versions of its operating system, including those for business, school, personal and professional use .
For the first time, Microsoft, which has always sold Windows in various editions, has clearly explained the differences, to understand which one is suitable to meet the needs of each one, so that when it is available, you can immediately install the right version .

The editions of Windows 10 for personal and professional use are:
- Windows 10 Home is therefore the desktop version for PCs, laptops, tablets and "hybrid" devices, for home use and entertainment, available with the Cortana voice assistant, the new Microsoft Edge browser and the Windows Hello facial recognition function.
Xbox owners will also be able to play Xbox Live games on a Windows 10 Home PC.

- Windows 10 Pro is the update to Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 7 Professional and is designed for small businesses.
The difference is that, compared to the Home version, there are additional features to allow companies to manage applications and data between various server computers and devices.
Windows 10 Pro will also include the Microsoft Windows Update for Business program, which makes it easier for organizations to check for security updates.
The price of Windows 10 Pro (free if installed as an update) will instead be 280 Euros in Italy and you can buy it from this page.

To these must also be added Windows 10 Enterprise is instead the edition that replaces Windows 8.1 Enterprise, designed for large companies.
This is also the most expensive version, sold only in license packs.
Its main feature is represented by more effective data security tools as well as a wide range of options for distributing the operating system, updates and app management.
Windows 10 Enterprise is also the version of Windows for ATMs and shops.
For smartphones, the Windows versions are:
- Windows 10 Mobile (no longer exists) was the new version of what was previously called Windows Phone 8.1.
This edition will be available for smartphones and tablets with smaller screens.
Windows 10 Mobile will allow you to use universal Windows 10 applications, including new Office apps optimized for small touchscreen devices.
The best news of Windows 10 Home and Mobile is what Microsoft calls Continuum, which is the ability to use your smartphone or tablet as a PC when connected to a large monitor .
- Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise was instead the update of Windows Phone for Business, Enterprise version for smaller smartphones and tablets, with greater control over security and how to install updates.
In addition to these Microsoft has presented two other new editions that did not exist before:
- Windows 10 Education, for school, administrators, teachers and students, with greater security control, sold with multi-license contracts as is the case for the Enterprise version.
