Deactivate Facebook to temporarily disappear

Even if Facebook is now like a worldwide telephone directory in which we are all registered, it is not certain that we cannot take breaks to disappear from the social network without giving too many explanations, to become unavailable as we would do by turning off the cell phone, at least temporarily.
On certain occasions, you can simply feel tired after a quarrel, or read bad news, to see yourself writing bad comments or otherwise creating irritation on the part of those who do not think like us, especially by extremists of all types.
It therefore happens to have the temptation to unsubscribe from Facebook and delete the account, which however you would probably end up regretting.
Much more easily, it is possible today to deactivate Facebook and delete the profile temporarily, without deleting anything, but making sure that it actually seems to have disappeared .
Facebook gives the possibility to deactivate the account and freeze it temporarily, leaving all the data as they are, however making them invisible as if the account had been deleted forever.
You can then keep the account deactivated and then, when you want, reactivate it and go back to where you were, finding all the photos, status updates and friends as it was before you suspended it.
To temporarily remove yourself from Facebook, therefore, you need to go to settings by clicking on the down arrow at the top right, then going to the Security and access tab.
On the general settings page you can click, without fear of damaging, the Manage Account button and then in the last option that says: Deactivate your account .
Click on the Deactivate link at the bottom and on the following page, accept the confirmation by entering the account password.
Before proceeding, it is important to understand what you are doing with this.
This way of deactivating the account does nothing more than disabling and hiding the entire profile from Facebook and from the searches, also eliminating the tags (i.e. the links to our profile) and deleting status updates and all the photos uploaded by us, always only temporarily.
Those who try to go to our profile will find the page not found, as if it no longer exists, with an inscription such as: " Sorry, this content is not currently available
The link you followed may have expired or the page may only be visible to an audience you are not part of . "
However, when you reactivate your account, everything returns online as before, the tags are restored, the photos and the profile are available to everyone for consultation and research.
To reactivate the deactivated Facebook account just log in from the site or application and reactivate the deactivated profile.
In the margins of this article, I would like to point out an interesting extension for those who do not want to delete themselves even using the option that temporarily disables the account, but which allows you to regulate the use of Facebook on your PC if you notice that it wastes too much time.
Stay Focusd, an extension for Google Chrome to block access to the Facebook site for a certain period.
In general, in another article, I had listed some programs to block sites and limit browsing on Facebook .
