How to fix WiFi problems on iPhone

The first tip may seem the most trivial but it is also the one that often solves most problems.
To disable and reactivate WiFi we have two ways: from the control center or from the Settings menu.
In the first case we open the control center (swipe upwards from the lower edge or swipe downwards from the upper right corner in the case of iPhone X and later) and click on the WiFi symbol to temporarily turn it off.
In the second case, just open the Settings app, take us to Wi-Fi and disable the related item.
Let's wait a few minutes, then reactivate the item to check if the problem is solved.
2) Wrong or changed WiFi password

In case the iPhone does not connect to the internet via the chosen WiFi network, we check other more obvious things such as the password used to connect.
We open the Wi-Fi menu inside the Settings app, we click next to the network we want to hook up then we forget the network by clicking on Disassociate this network .
Now let's try to connect again by typing the network password that we know; if it doesn't work, maybe the password is wrong or someone has changed it in the meantime without notifying us.
To recover the new password, we can ask those who administer the network or by trying to access the modem using an Ethernet cable connection and entering the address for accessing the modem control panel in the browser, as explained in our guide Enter the router to access the settings easily.
3) Restart the iPhone

Restarting the wireless connection did not solve the problem that had re-emerged ">
In case of problems with the Wifi on the iPhone, it is worth trying to disable the WiFi Assistance option, the one that prefers the use of a cellular network if the signal is too weak.
This option can be useful in certain circumstances, when you are away from home and try to connect to a weak or poorly functioning wifi network such as that of hotels or bars, but it can be counterproductive if we are at home and we only want to use the Wi-Fi network. -Fi housewife.
The wireless connection, although weak, can still work well and letting the iPhone automatically switch to the network if it sees little signal can cause unnecessary traffic consumption.
It is therefore worth turning it off in order to exploit, even in case of weak signal, any WiFi connection.
To disable WiFi Assistance go to Settings> Mobile, scroll down and disable the Wi-Fi Assistance item.
5) System services

Another option that you can try to disable because it can affect the smooth functioning of wireless on the iPhone is that of System Services .
To do this we go to Settings> Privacy> Location> System Services and turn off the switch next to the item Wi-Fi Network .
6) DNS connection

If on the WiFi network we have problems surfing the Internet, we also check the DNS server settings for the connection .
To carry out this check, go to the Wi-Fi menu in Settings and touch the "i" next to the network; open the advanced menu of configurations, click on the Configure DNS item and click Manual, removing any DNS servers set and change the DNS on the iPhone by clicking on the Add server item, using for example the Google DNS which are among the most reliable.
7) Restore network connections

Finally, if there are still no signs of improvement for the wireless connection, we can try to reset the network connections .
To do this, then go to Settings - > General, tap on Reset and then on Reset network settings.
If an access code was set, you will be asked to enter it, so we confirm any other confirmation step.
After the restart all network settings will be reset as when the iPhone was first turned on, so everything should work fine again.
8) Reset the iPhone completely
If not even the network recovery has worked, we can try as a last resort the total recovery of the iPhone.
We first recover the access data of the associated Apple ID (we will need it later), then go to Settings - > General, tap on Restore and restore the iPhone by clicking on Initialize content and settings .
We enter the required security codes and wait for the iPhone to restart, which will return as it had just left the factory.
At the restart we insert the Apple ID credentials and recover a previous backup for the important files, then we try to re-access the problematic WiFi network, sure that this time all the problems will be solved.
