How to Activate DAZN on Sky

DAZN is the streaming platform dedicated to sporting events of all kinds: we start from football to get to many other sports such as tennis, the basketball Euroleague, cycling and Superbike. In order to view it, an Internet connection and a valid active subscription is required, but for Sky users it is possible to view the main sporting events of DAZN even without the Internet, by accessing the satellite channel dedicated to the platform and accessible only under certain conditions.
We see in this guide how to Activate DAZN on Sky to see the whole Serie A on the Sky Q decoder and to see the other events without having to connect to the Internet; for those who do not meet the requirements imposed by Sky, you can still activate the standard DAZN subscription and view the channels via the Internet, using the integrated app on the new Sky decoders.

How to Activate DAZN on Sky

Below we can find all the methods to activate DAZN on Sky to see the dedicated channel on the satellite platform and to see all the channels streaming via the Internet, using the dedicated app.

DAZN1 channel on Sky platform

To see the DAZN1 channel on Sky's satellite platform, simply access the Do-it-yourself area from your PC or phone, where we will have to enter our login credentials for the Sky account. If we do not know the credentials or want to set a new password, we use the items "Forgot your password"> or "Forgot your email?" In the login window or register a new Sky ID account to continue.
Once in the Do-it-yourself screen, press on the Promotions item, select the Sky-DAZN Offer package, confirm the phone number where to receive an activation SMS, click on the link contained in the SMS and insert, on the page you want will open, the activation code contained in the SMS.

Now all we have to do is press Apply and Continue, so we can continue with the creation of the DAZN account to associate with our Sky account (we can use both a ready-made account and create another from scratch). At the end of the registration or access with the DAZN account, press the Start looking button to enable the display of DAZN1 on Sky, accessible on channel 209 (just enter this number on the Sky remote control).
The DAZN1 channel is accessible only from the Sky Q (Premium and Black), MySky HD or Sky HD decoders connected via a satellite dish . Currently it is not possible to see DAZN1 on My Sky Fibra and on Sky for digital terrestrial.
On DAZN1 only the most important events of DAZN are displayed (the Serie A matches and, in the case of multiple matches, only the most important one at the media level), so as to be able to cover the most important events also via satellite (partially compensating to DAZN streaming issues).

Cost of DAZN-Sky offer

It is currently possible to subscribe to the DAZN-Sky offer based on the seniority level of our subscription to Sky:

1. For Sky users with the Sky Sport and Sky Calcio packages active for at least 3 years, the offer is free until June 2021.
2. For Sky users with the Sky Sport and Sky Calcio packages active for less than 3 years, the offer is free until December 31, 2019, to pass after € 7.99 (with automatic renewal).
3. For all other types of users already subscribed to Sky, the DAZN subscription is available € 7.99 (instead of € 9.99).

Based on our seniority, we will therefore be able to see DAZN1 for free if we are loyal users of Sky's Football and Sports packages ; for all other users we will have to pay the subscription to DAZN even if with a discount reserved only for Sky customers who follow the procedure seen above.
NOTE : with the DAZN-Sky offer, the subscription fee to DAZN (where provided) will be charged together with the monthly Sky bill.

How to see all DAZN channels on Sky

If instead we want to see all the DAZN channels on our Sky Q decoder, just connect the latter to the Internet (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable) and select the DAZN app from the App menu, visible in the side bar of the Sky Q multimedia system.

The DAZN login screen will open, where you can enter your login credentials to the service. Through the app we will be able to access all the DAZN channels streamed, regardless of the type of account and how we activated it (we can both use the account activated through the DAZN-Sky offer and access with a normal DAZN account).

Conclusions

To solve the problem of streaming DAZN (which has often made tantrums under big events), Sky has decided to give the DAZN-Sky offer to the most loyal users and to offer discounts to all other "younger" users, simultaneously activating a dedicated satellite channel (DAZN1).
If we want to see all the DAZN channels we can always use the dedicated app in the Sky Q decoder or one of the devices compatible with the streaming service.
