Links to sites and programs on the right-click menu on the desktop

When you press the right button on the Windows desktop, a menu appears with various options to customize the arrangement of the icons, often not too useful.
We have therefore seen several automatic tools to add options to the right mouse button menu, very useful for having more quick commands that can be accessed with a click.
In addition to this, the right-click menu on the desktop can also become a program and website launcher, to quickly launch software and to open websites in an extremely convenient and fast way.
Through the 7CMenuEditor program, free and working on all versions of Windows from XP and Windows 7 and 8, you can add shortcuts to the right-click menu on the desktop in a quick and easy way.
This program must not be installed, it is only a tool to be used and then put in the drawer, without having to remain in the background for life.
The changes took effect and pose no risk to the stability of the system.
After downloading 7CMenuEditor, extract the Zip file into a folder and double-click the main file (the .exe).
If User Account Control appears, click Yes to continue.
The program window is divided into two sections, one for adding links to programs installed on the computer, the other for adding links to websites.
For example, if you want to add a shortcut to Internet Explorer on the context menu of the right button when pressed on the desktop, you can:
- Write the name;
- Press on Browser Exe and select the program from the computer resources by looking in C: \ Program Files (the path will be displayed on the App field).
- (optional) Press on Browser Icon to add a graphic icon to the new menu item.
- Choose the position above, below or in the middle.
- Press the Create button.
At the end, you can right click on the desktop and find the shortcut created.
If you want to add a link to a website instead you have to fill in the fields of the section below, giving a name, the internet address or URL of the site (for example www.navigaweb.net), the browser with which to open it and the position .
The Extended option, if enabled, adds the shortcut in the extended menu that appears by pressing the right button on the desktop together with the Shift and CTRL keys.
Each added link can be edited by right clicking on the added item in 7CMenuEditor.
If there are problems, you can use a very easy alternative program that works the same way: Context Menu Editor .
At the same time, as soon as you are there, to make the desktop menu more streamlined, you can use ShellExView to eliminate unnecessary items from the contextual menu because, if they become too many, they could create slowdowns in loading.
