Add Shortcuts on Android to open quick phone activities from Home

On the main screen of smartphones with Android operating system, in addition to the classic application launch icons and interactive widgets, you can add shortcuts or shortcuts that are quick links to specific screens of activities, applications or settings .
For example, you can create a quick link for the route to follow with the Google Maps navigator to go home so that pressing that button immediately opens the navigator with the directions to go home with the car from wherever you are.
In practice, you can save some specific activities so you don't have to look for them in the various settings screens, to open them immediately whenever you need them.
Another very useful example is the Android shortcut Settings so as to immediately open a special screen (like that of Wifi) without having to go through the general menu every time.
Other special shortcuts can be to create a new email with Gmail, link to the call to a special number or a new note.
The curious thing is that to create shortcuts on the Android home screen you need an additional app because, by default, this function is disabled.
Shortcuts to special activities can be added to the home screen of the smartphone by installing a different launcher such as the famous Nova Launcher and Apex (see list of the best launchers for Android ).
With Nova, for example, you can hold down on the screen to add a new shortcut and then, choose activities to open the entire list of possible fast actions that you can start with a touch.
This method only allows you to create shortcuts on the home screen, so you cannot place these shortcuts in the list of apps.
Without installing a new launcher, you can add a shortcut via the QuickShortcut application which is the easiest to use or XShortcut.
Scroll the list of activities in alphabetical order, touch the application for which you want to create a link and then choose which action you want to have at hand.
For example, if we wanted to create a navigation link, select the Maps application and then Maps and then locate the navigation activity.
You can also create a quick link to send a message on Whatsapp to a specific person or the link to open the Android hotspot settings.
QuickShortcut also allows you to choose the name of the link and the icon with which it must appear.
There are also special hidden menus such as, for example, that of the Google Keyboard debugging which allows you to choose the graphic theme of the touchscreen keyboard.
In short, the possibilities are almost endless and only by trying will you be able to find the most useful links to open phone businesses on the fly.
