Adobe Edge to create HTML5 animations for websites

The web is changing its technologies and old platforms such as Java and Flash, although they always remain standards, are less and less used.
The Flash above all seems destined to decline inexorably, replaced or in any case limited by html5.
Those who make websites even at an amateur level may be interested in tools to create HTML5 animations in a simple way, perhaps by converting flash animations to HTML5 making them lighter and more compatible with devices such as iPhones and iPads.
Adobe, the company that owns Flash, has released a preview of a new HTML5 web design program that allows designers to create animated content for websites, using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3 .
This program is important because it allows you to create multimedia content for the Internet in a (relatively) simple way, with an intuitive graphic interface, without having to write and program code.
In addition, the Adobe Edge program is free and should remain so in the future.
UPDATE: Adobe Edge has not been in development since 2015 and has been replaced with the powerful free online tool Adobe Spark, to create videos and images for web and projects .
Adobe Edge does not replace other equivalent software for creating flash animations but it is an additional program for creating interactive content, such as advertisements and widgets, in HTML5 .
In practice, Adobe covers its shoulders, hopes that its Flash will not be abandoned and believes that both technologies, Flash and HTML5, can coexist.
I am not an expert in web technology but we can say that flash still remains a more widespread and easy to manage standard, in fact streaming music websites and online games all know in flash.
However, we have seen how HTML5 is much lighter, just enable viewing of Youtube videos in HTML5.
Adobe Edge can be downloaded for free by registering for a free account on the Adobe website.
In Adobe Edge, you can import an existing site and add animations to HTML pages.
You can import SVG, PNG, JPG and GIF files and CSS style sheets.
The interface is intuitive and simple to understand even if, for now, only in English.
